help..another heads thread. aftermarket only!
i know TFS and AFR are up on the list.
i have talked with Mr. Mamo about some AFR 230s with his port job.. but they come with a pretty price tag..
haven't really looked at the TFS head in the 225 rand much..
the other option i have just recently seen were All Pro. they had a 230 i think is what i seen..
now NO this isn't a make effort pure race build but i am looking to push things to the limit a bit and make GREAT power..
i want a about a 9.5 CR so i want something like a 64cc chamber or even a 62cc.
the cam is a VA speed reverse split 23x/22x cam goin in a forged 347 backed by a built 4l80e and strong IRS..
turbo is a midframe tnetics hp78 with the 75mm f1 turbine and 1.14 ar.
I'm looking to make 900 on kill with meth.. so i want a aftermarket thick deck head so if i need to i can push 25 psi or so..
so what do you guys think AFR is where i am leaning but want to get some info on those All Pros..
ready GO!!

Ported L92 heads, on a 403 with twin MP76s. Went 9.03 @151... weighs 4500lbs, you do the whp calculation.
A box stock AFR 225 will support over 1000whp. Look at 98Z28CobraKiller. Honestly you will be limited by 4 bolts/cyl before anything else. They have been pushed past 20psi by several people in that power range with LS9 gaskets and studs. If you O-ringed them you would be even better off.
I look at the All Pro's as being the equivalent of the big port MAST/ETP heads. They are the two top dogs designed for 6 bolt setups trying to rotate the earth. Would they be great to have? Sure. I don't know about you but I can use that extra money in other places to make the car better/faster. I mean, hell, a fully assembled set with Inconel exhaust valves and a set of Jessel's is over $5k. That's more than I spent on my short block.
