Question I just lost 130+rwhp

Help needed ASAP

I dynoed my single turbo ZO6 last month made 584rwhp SAE 10psi
16degrees 10.7 A/F 95f weather through stock TI catback / 241 untouched heads STD 598rwhp 549rwtq

Here is the thread for those that didnt see it
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...ber-10psi.html

Last week I wanted to add more boost so I changed the spark plugs/ new msd wire/ new water pump & thermostat I also changed the head gasket (since I had an overheating issue it turned out the gasket) and rechecked everything.

Now same boost , same dyno , same tuner , same wheels same everything but slightly better weather 80f
The car made 447rwhp 11.3 A/F 13degrees tuner took to 15 and got KR made less power...

made 3-5runs all of them between 430-450rwhp the car didnt get over 180-195 temp
Oil press is great 60psi cold start 30-40psi hot, no engine noise no smoke the car runs great and pulls nice for 447rwhp

I know the stock TI catback is killing the car but we already made 584rwhp with it.

Best graph I can get for now

Any help would be much appreciated I'm doing a Compression check tomorrow.
Thanks,
Sam.

You said you did head gaskets. Are your intake manifold gaskets still good? If you are blowing by them, you could be losing a lot of power like that.

I initially though spark as well. Your dyno looks to be choppier than the previous dyno too, but you said the car runs good. If this is the case, did you gap your plugs? Are you getting spark blow out?

Yeah, recheck the plugs and wires since you changed all of it since the last dyno......

Might want to measure the resistance on each plug wire with an ohm meter.

I run MSD wires and hate them, half the time my car has a miss after I change plugs. They are a pain in the *** to get clicked on correctly and I always use diletric grease. Pick up some firecore wires and let it rip. You may also want to check the weather station on the dyno, they can take a dump at random times and skew numbers.

Did your tuner log injector duty on both sessions? Get him to compare them.

If the second session used 130+ rwhp less duty cycle, the chances are about 90% that you have a massive boost leak.

Msd wires suck. Get factory wires they click on every time. The days of needing high performance wires are over

It looks like you may possibly have some misfiring going on. Are the knock sensors connected and operational? If so the ecu could be picking up the misfires as knock and pulling timing. You really need a data log to help identify your situation.

In the mean time you may want to check the resistance of every plug wire, and if possible, fire off the plugs to ensure you're getting decent spark with the gaps you have them set at.

I'm still on the same boost 10psi we didnt run more boost after we had this problem.
We also tried the same A/F and timing like before no major change 5-8HP.

Duty cycle is the same 55-60%

Tell me about it before the turbo I dynoed the car N/A made 380rwhp so the turbo gained 60rwhp

Both runs were SAE
STD Were 598rwhp before now 460rwhp

What plugs/Gap did you switch too? In my experience sometimes lower timing like low teens will cause a miss fire with some coil types.

How many miles sense your last dyno?

Possibly weaker valve springs with poor spark from either the MSD wires/plugs or gap/ or the valves not having enough spring pressure.

If the injector duty cycle is the same, and you're running leaner, something is not quite right and not adding up.

Its in the ignition. Put brand new plugs in it and check resistance on all your wires. Make sure they all double click when you put them on.
