Help me build the fastest spooling T6 Merge
I finally bought a S88 Turbo for my 67' Chevelle 370" LS build.
I am using 2.5" pipe coming straight forward out of the flipped stock GTO manifolds.`I am thinking of getting this T6 DIVIDED flange since the B/W housing is divided also.
*** See Pic of flange below***
My question is could I form (hammer) the left and the right merge pipes into square ends that match the T6 flange pictured below and weld them directly to the divided T6 flange?
So the Left and right exhaust banks would not actually merge until they entered the turbine housing.
I realize I would have to run dual gates but I was thinking of doing this already. I was thinking of running a 40mm JGS waste gate on each side right at the first sweep in the 2.5" pipe that way the exhaust would fire straight into the waste gate.

That is how I did mine. I knife edged my turbine housing once before and regretted it when I tried to sell the turbo later.

Thanks for posting. Friggin Cool fab work !!!
So you use a divided flange and weld each pipe in the separate flange holes?
Have you noticed a difference in spool?
I swear this turbo fab stuff is like ****. lol It's all just a little different but always interesting

A pic on mine in the making. 2.5" crossover, 2" feed from each side feeding a 46mm gate. I have it all welded up now just need to take some more pics. Its actually upside down in this pic, gate faces straight down.

Correct me if I am wrong, but dont GTO manifolds have 2.0 inch outlets?
You want fast spooling, I would stick with 2 or 2.25 up pipes, and keep it divided the whole way though.
