Default Frontmount

Well got started on the front mount kit for my car. I was very happy to discover that the front mount is going to fit...and fog lights can stay.. Not sure if it is because of the Burkhart bumper support or not...but i am excited. Going to order a piping kit and start some welding....Will add pics as things get done.

Well here are some new pics. I had to modify the fog light brackets a bit on the bumper support and the fog light itself. But nothing a little grinding didnt take care of. Everything fits great...piping gets delivered tomorrow. Already have a 2 foot stick of 3" coupler, Bypass Valve Flange, and T-Bolts waiting. Cant wait to get more completed.

$375 shipped to the door.............got it off of here. I can give you the guys name if you like. He had 1 for a TA and 1 for a camaro that he used for moch up only. You can barely get an ebay IC for that...and alot of those are junk.

Well i started laying out the piping tonight to at least have a good plan. Here are a few pics....hopefully its not to difficult to see what im thinking about. Taking a 45 out of the reducer from the maf into another 45 under the fuse blocks. Going to use a coupler to mate to a 90 into the IC. Of course all of those have to be trimmed and such to get everthing matching up as good as possible. Im not sure what to do about the IAT sensor....dont really want to go to a 85mm maf cause i dont wanna buy one...

On the blower side im going to cut the 180 exactly in the middle and weld in a straight section to give me the proper distance. The flange for the bypass valve will go in the straight section that will be added. From there basically a straight shot into the blower. I am short one 45 but i will come up with something i have plenty of 180s and 90s left so im sure i can make one of those work to go into the blower.

Comments or suggestions on what to do about my IAT sensor??

Looks very similar to what I am in the middle of myself. I do no have a burkhart bumped support and am keeping the fogs and most of the foam bumper support. As far as the iat goes I am going to run an 85 with it built in. That is probably your best route. You can pick one up for about $40. You could drill a hole in the pipe closest to the maf and use a tight fit grommet for the sensor also. To much boost might push it out though.

Thanks madball. Question though, what size couplers does the 85mm maf take As you can see i already have my reducers and such and bother are 3.5". My IAT sensor is threaded and i already have a bung for it to go into my hard pipe....but of course its going to look a little crappy. I just cant make myself spend a ton more money buying more couplers if i can go without.

Just the thread I have been looking for. Can you see how wide of an intercooler you could have fit between the bumper support from burkhart?

I just measured an 85mm and it is 3.75 on one end and a touch over 3.5 on the other. 3.5 couplings will fit just fine.

Yes. It will run without a tune but ultimately you will need a retune. Have you tuned it yet after the procharger install?
