Still about the same. I debated between throwing another 8 grand at the car or refinancing the house and get my finances cleaned up. For now I went with the latter. I'll get to it eventually, but the car has spent so much downtime the last few years, I'm not really missing it at the moment. I have been playing with the tig welder though, having fun learning how to use it

lol, yeah, I know. but at todays interest rates, I'll be dropping almost 4%! I've sat on the fence too long already on this one
I'm still hoping to get the engine internals done after the new year so I can reassemble the block/tranny and free up some floor space in the shop lol

wow been a while since i've logged in. sorry guys if anyone has been waiting for updates .... none yet. new job, new house, 3yr old boy.... i'm hoping to bang it out this spring. not really much left to do i just need the time to get out there and finish.

thanks for the compliments guys. i haven't touched this project in a while ... its kinda gone into hibernation lol it will get done but i just have to much going on right now. I'm hoping toward the end of summer to hit it again and I'm probably going to change some things up and make this a much meaner set up.

I was wondering what happened Brian. I got the C10 running but the trans is shot and the 5.3 in the Lemans locked up so I took that out...lol. Now you have my updates...get back to work.

I have this car up for sale if anyone is interested. Its minus the drive train but i do have a 383 i can throw in for a few extra $ . Im not necessarily giving up but if i dont come into another ls turbo set up im probably not gonna finish... Sorry guys i got done wrong on my motor and have just lost all ambition to finish this thing. Long story but basically got ripped off really bad and i just cant get myself to pick up a wrench to work on this car let alone drop another 5k into another motor/turbos etc and start over.

No brother!!! Sorry to hear that man! Can you explain a bit what happened? My motor in my 5.3 came back locked up with rust in the cylinders after I paid a guy to notch my frame. Bought another motor and am just now swapping over the parts. Don't give up on the project. Just take a step back. Grab an old 5.3, ls6 springs (no cam change to save money) and a Denmah kit from VSracing and keep it moving.

Well short version... I traded my drivetrain for an equally built drive train that was turn key.... Block was cracked and it was a carburated motor. When i texted the guy all i got back was bassically a "f-you" response. Now i have old school performance parts and some new school parts but nothing that will build a motor and ive already stepped back and i just cant get the gumption to work on it anymore.

Only thing left to do is

Hook harness
Hook up brake and fuel lines
Alignment

And thats it but to find another drivetrain .... Good drive train cuz to just throw in a quick one will bother me just as much. If it doesnt sell im sure one day it will get done but as of right now ..... Id let it go for 3k

Sorry to hear it man. I would think it sitting there would bother you more than blowing up a stock motor. I get tired of projects when they don't run for the longest. Get it running then take a break. Let no man break your spirit.

Oh no worries, that happened back in december i just hate seeing it sit in my barn. Couple weeks ago i almost got my hands on a 911 with an ls drivetrain.... Kinda wanting one now
