Pro Stock John, should I just go all out and go for the YSI-Trim? Do u have any pic's of you're setup. I would like to order my head unit this week. my goal is to have at least 800 to the tires. I know thats alot of hp, but if Im going to spend the money; I might aswell do it right the first time. Does the ysi fit like the G and T-trime or does it go in a diff. location? Thanks for you're help.

his is a race only setup. you don't just jump into 800 hp car and expect to drive it around like nothing. His car is built to do 8's. He had to have a lot of custom work as well it isn't exactly a bolt on kit.
if you got a lot of money go with a built bottom end and the vortech g trim, you should be in the 600's with 12 lbs. Any more boost than that will race require race gas and that's not cheap and takes away from the true streetness of your motor.
You can wait for the AFR heads to come out and combine that with a blower cam and that should be plenty. You shouldn't be concerned with hp numbers, that's ricer logic you should be concentrating on et or mph then go from there. It doesn't take a lot of power to go fast. A lot of it has to do with suspension, ie getting all that power to the ground. Spinning while a stock ls1 is walking away from you is no fun.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a set of AFR's 225 on the way. This motor is also going to be build with forged parts and it going to be a solid roller. This motor is going to be built at SAM. They are the best at what they do. Are NA LS1 hit 751 and no one has done this yet. So in other words I have no worries on their judgement. I also have conciderd all of these facters which is why Im building my suspension. Thanks for you're help.

If you stroke out an LS1 add $2000 for a stroker crankshaft.
I did not stroke my engine because I wanted to see what I could do with stock cubes.
If I were to build an engine on the side it would be 8:1 and would have AFR heads, and those would be the only deviations from what I have now.

JE does take a long time, I don't want to wait that long so I'll go with the Diamond. I was thinking of going with a Carrillos Rods but I hear that the Eagle Rods are very good to.

I think that you might want to get a T Trim, but you might want to also ask jsnee@vortechsuperchargers.com for his opinion too.

I will update those photos in the near future to reflect the ongoing mini-tubbing, new 9-inch Ford, and new blower piping, which will route over the top of the radiator directly into the maf and tb.

Call the company that made the blower with the size of the pulley and the model of blower and what it's going on and they can tell you what approx. lbs it should put out. If you have changed crankshaft pulliies you will need to give them that measuremnet too.
