Are you just running a 2 step no transbrake? Is it the abs delete kit that allows you to hold the car better?

Doug, if you end up coming down to atco you can crash at my place so that you're not making that drive twice in a day and dont have to pay for a hotel/keep your car in a parking lot

Yes i have a transbrake. Yes the abs delete kit but i do not use the line lock to hold it during the launch.

Just finished reading this whole thread!! This has so much great information. Thanks for sharing your set up/built with us Doug! I am working on a turbo ls1 build myself. This motivates me to buy more parts that I need!! Just wondering what type of rockers do you run with the 317 heads?
Thanks again

Got the new plate in took it for a drive and it wouldnt build more than 8psi and the car had no torque like it had before even under half throttle, and when i would come to a stop it would hang high idle like a vacuum leak. Other than the no boost and high idle car is running great. So yesterday did a compression test, that was great, did a leakdown and that was the same on all cylinders and numbers were fine. So pulled the head off and no bent valves i'm thinking Lifters? Broken inside Spring?
Either way i'm going to upgrade everything (Pushrods, Springs, Lifters and possibly Rockers) since it needs it anyways but it will suck if i do all that and its got the same problem..........

I know this might sound stupid, but if something with the flex plate and converter were binding or not allowing the converter to spin inside the pump like it should it might cause what you're describing.

I'll take any advice at this point.....
Ya i have read about that. This flexplate bolted up way nicer than the YANK one did. You think it would cause idle hang also? And a massive torque loss. I made sure the correct spacing was there also.

I agree but it did take a nice little zing to it. 20psi 5500 then the plate broke buzzing it up to 7780 instantly so something could have happened. I wont find out for a while now as the heads are off and i'm going to upgrade the valvetrain while they are off. Maybe i have some broken springs that i'll check today.

Ya its rough but when you push stock parts to about 1000 crank time and time again its hard to keep it together eventually ill weed out the stock crap and take this seriously. Its definitely not been an easy road

I was going to mention the converter as a possibility.

Yup PAC Springs BTR lifters pushrods and trunion upgrade. I'll just delete things one by one what it is and this stuff should be upgraded at this point anyways.
