Default Zirgo electric fans

Anyone use them? They list CFM number a lot higher then other, and less amp draw.

3000cfm 16" S blade fans with a 10amp draw, when others are 2100cfm and 17 amps. They are cheaper too.... sounds to good to be true?
Iver never looked into whats out there for a universal electric fan, dont wnat to find out theirs something up with there specs?

I don't have any experience with the company but I do have experience in industrial mixing. The only two variables that would really allow higher CFMs at a lower amp draw are the electric motor efficiency or the blades efficiency.

Edit:
I just talked to their tech rep and they said the 16" 3630 cfm fan uses 12-14 amps and all the others are about 10-12 amps. They accomplished this by using a slightly oversize high quality electric motor coupled with a custom high efficiency blade design. Boom!

I have one I used for a short period. It did work fine. But I have read at another forum about them being unreliable. In fact the motor burned up. Do a search at the H.A.M.B board.

Cool, what do you think about that? Ever other brand is about a 1amp/1000rpms/1000cfm ratio. But some how they do it with about half?

im running two 12" pushers that flow like 2100 a piece. i dont think one would keep it cool. im also using the stock radiator

if you used a 16" with an aluminum shroud as a puller you could probably get away with one and keep the weight down

Studderin I run two 2200 cfm derales on my car. They are a great fans for street use as they have a sealed bosch motor. I have one fan kick on at 196 degrees and it keeps my turbo car cool with the stock radiator most of the time. Only on the hottest days (95 degree +) sitting at a light has the 2nd fan kicked on at 206 degrees. I'm confident a single derale would cool a n/a car without a/c. I use the pusher fans and a puller setup would be even more efficient as derale sells them in both configurations.

I have the zirgo 16" pusher...3000 CFM and the amperage is way low. Although, you can never beat the stock setup.

Does it do well enough to keep your car cool? How long have you had it?

Ill be sure to update as time goes on, but after this thread, i did order the single 16" puller 3000cfm from them, its seems like a really nice piece, if some reason its not enough, they have a single 16" 3600cfm that i will try as well.

From holding it in my hands, and playing around with it, seems stout. lol

Kyle, so you have the ZFB16S 16?
Can you weight it? I'm really looking into this for weight. The stock fans and radiator weight 21.2 #s
http://<a href="http://i2.photobucke...G_4261.jpg</a>
The stock fans are most of the weight, 14-15 I found people posting.

Some guys say they had theirs last 3-4 years now, other said it burned up after a few weeks? But heres the info on them

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HFM-ZFU16S/
ZFU16S 16 in. (15.75x16.75x3.5 Pusher/Puller, 3,630 cfm, Black, Plastic,
10.00 amps $213

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HFM-ZFU16S/
ZFB16S 16 in. (16x16.7x4) Pusher/Puller, 3,000 cfm, Black, Plastic,
10.00 amps $119

Then that have a normal stair blade 16", flows less. Its acutlly a little bigger then the other, and its really cheap

ZFB16 16 in. (16.75x16.5x3.5) Pusher/Puller, 2,803 cfm, Black, Plastic,
