LOL. I love that nothing got cleaned and everything still looks well worn. Over 400 cubes?

Crap O'Reilly crank position sensor. Mr. Goodwrench FTMFW. Chased that problem for nearly a week.

What was it doing with the bad crank sensor? Losing sync?

Yes, it took forever to sync, and then it would also kick back from too much timing on cranking. It was a nightmare.

UPDATE:

After chasing a spark blowout/misfire/loss of syn issue, I swapped coils and all seems good. Car is very strong and very close to being dialed. Martin from Tick has been helping me out with the tune, and the John Bewley (Lil' John's Motorsports Solutions) cam and BW S480 is doing great. Next plan is to get the converter out and have it restalled to match the current powerplant. After that, I think it will be a good summer of racing in South Louisiana. I can't wait for the cool air to return in 5-6 months though. I hope to have it out to the track as soon as possible though.

Some updates. Clipped a coil in the rear springs to get it to sit evenly, Plasti-dipped my rear welds to match my powder coated fronts. Did a little more tweaking. Made some runs, the car is coming along nicely. Trans comes out this week because I need to re-stall the converter. Here are some pics of the changes and a short video of an in-car run. Sorry about the sound, my mic is taking a dump, I think.....

I am loving it. Converter is in desperate need of attention though, it is a tad on the laggy side, LOL.

So you're going to have it stall at a higher RPM? I think so, but with turbo setups sometimes it's a little difficult to tell what people are going to try next. Lol

Your going to need the better Weld rim/tire combo once the converter is stalled a little more so you can build 10psi. Im building a gen4 5.3 with a Lil John cam and S475 setup and going to need a converter too.

Converter will not be made looser. It's actually too loose on the bottom end allowing rpm to jump past where it should and not creating proper load in the rpm range it's needed.
