Your engine might have a tighter ring gap, or you got a bad batch of fuel. I've seen end gaps on factory engines from .014-.024". Was it the side with the lower cr head or original head that blew?

the stock truck head, 60cc the corvette head on the other side is 67

i got her going already and drove it around the block about an hour ago

Haha. That was fast. Gotta wonder how the crank feels with different compression ratios from bank to bank. Do you tune different from one side to the other?

its very similar compression numbers even with the different heads, the corvette side is averaging 135 and the truck side averages 145

The truck side is roughly 10-15 psi more than the 241 ported ls1 side

so i am at 12deg timing now, i have the BR7EF plugs in and im trying 18lbs of boost and spraying the 125 the whole way this time, because ide rather go high 9 than a low 10 haha

if she stays together it should be getting a cage this month and ill try race gas mix and 22lbs again some day

ide rather know its safe on pump i have a few pistons left.

ive stepped back considerably from where it was.

if it survives this pass no problems ill splash some race and go back to 15deg 22lbs and nitrous on top of that lol
