Default Car shuts off after burn out

I do a burn out at the track, car runs perfect. I foot brake it,it launched hard for .5 sec then totally shuts down. its hard to restart. Then after 1 mins starts and runs perfect.

No clue whats going on. Only thing I changed was I ran all 109 vp fuel. Car wasn't hot, good fuel pressure.

How much fuel do you have in the tank? maybe its low enough to uncover the pick up??? just throwing shots in the dark.

Have you noticed the tachometer when it shuts down? I had a similar problem and the tach would go dead and then the car would shut down. I had to do a "Case Relearn" for the crank position sensor. Make sure you didn't melt any of the wiring for the sensor also.

Yes the tach would go all the way down but the engine died so it made sense. How and why would you need to do a case relearn?

I was running 93 octane pump. This was my first track trip with the new setup up so I used vp 109 to be I the safe side. Setup has 5000 street miles since tune with no issue

my car did this first time i got on it after getting off the dyno. My catch cans were arcing off the battery when the motor twisted at WOT. Whole car would die then come back to life. A few times it was really hard to restart but i let it sit for a few and it fired right up.

aka make sure nothing is arcing off your battery or any other power source.

These fbodies are getting long in the tooth. Might be the ignition switch. I just had to replace mine.
