What Martin said, I don't have many worries going to 8k with what I have. I did do some minor block mod's, nothing serious; deburred casting flash, smoothed out the passages where I could, opened the rear lifter oil galley passage slightly. I also have an improve racing baffle in the factory pan. I did have a Melling HV pump on it, but was seeing oil pressure fluctuation at 7500+, you can actually watch the gauge on the in-car of the video at around the 0:58 mark, where the gauge drops down to 40psi. I am going to port up and shim a stock pump to throw on this time around. I really wanted to do a dry sump setup this winter, but not quite in the budget with the rest of the plans I have.

Got the new heads in the other day, putting TFS 255's on the 332. With the heads, a little different cam, the sheetmetal intake, and another half point of compression, I hope to make 550 flywheel NA. I might start up another build thread or add on to this one. New turbo setup in the works.

Very nice build! Love the Over-square engine! I want to build one identical someday for my Camaro.
I just curious on what the new updates are? I see you have twin 6466's in your signature. I'm also surprised that the stock LS3 rockers are holding just fine. I don't have experience with them, just amazed why anyone would want to change to an aftermarket brand if they do just fine.
I'm also curious what cam is going to be the key for all those R's?
Awesome Build! Keep it up!

The engine fire last Halloween was the main reason for the changes, I didn't need to change all this stuff of course, but opportunities came about, and I'm always up for a change. Sucks I didn't get hardly any time on or come close to seeing the full potential of the old setup, but we will see how it does on Zach's car. Here's the list of the updates for this go around, I don't plan on it being done anytime too soon, as to stay with the theme of the way the build has gone so far . It will be back on the road this summer though!
-New custom One Guys Garage twin turbo kit using Turbonetics billet 6468 .81's, stock manifolds, treadstone air to air, no AC, stand up rad, with 3.5" dual exhaust out the rear.
-Keeping the same 332" shortblock, just milling the heads to bring CR to 10:1
-Trickflow 255's with REV hollow stem intake, and inconel exhaust valves
-Comp Cams 233/237 .664/.640 112+4
-ARP CA 625+ head studs,
-Cometic MLX headgaskets
-Holley Dominator ECU
-Gutting the car, the engine bay was burned up so the wiring harness needed to come out and replaced. At this point I decided it was going to receive the racecar treatment. Remove HVAC, some interior stuff, and just have basic bare essentials for wiring.
It will get a cage eventually, I don't plan on racing much this year without it, just get it running and get the bugs worked out again. Engine will be done in a few weeks or so, as soon as headgaskets show up. I will engine dyno it NA again. I hope to be in the low to mid 500 flywheel HP range, and triple that on boost, of course.

Very Nice! I definitely will be checking for updates! As I stated before, I would like to do this in my car someday (single or tt 5.3). It will be a few years, but time will tell.
Keep it up!

I'll be using the same trans, faceplated 6 speed. I'll break it 10 more times before I ever go auto, it's too much fun.
TPIS LS3 sheetmetal intake. Another minor detail I decided last minute on about the v2.0 engine setup is the compression. All the .160 wall wristpins were bent in the old shortblock, so I decided to get new pistons. 12.5:1 compression now.
Speedway Motors alternator/powersteering relocation bracket, works great. I was planning on getting a GZ motorsports vacuum pump at one point, and still might, so I wanted to leave the upper pass side area open.
