Default Rebuilding APS Turbos TD06H or TD06???

I just recently picked up an APS twin turbo kit for the F-bodies and the turbos need to rebuilt. I've decided on going the route route of replacing the Cartridges as the turbo housings themselves are in good condition.

So far from what I've Gathered, the APS turbos use the Mitsubishi 20G Cartridges, however I am getting mixed messages about whether or not they use the td06 or the slightly larger td06h cartridges. I believe the kit I have is the regular APS turbo kit. Is there any way to tell which cartridge I have in my turbos?

I think he rather rebuild these then buy another set of turbos that may go out and then have two sets of turbos that need to be rebuilt

and the LGs are a lot of money for someone that may want to stay stock cube and not have huge power as these turbos are good for 700.. rebuilt of course

LGs will come later. Waaay later, for now I'm just interested in getting the kit working.

According to this thread, most people are using TD06H Cartridges, so I guess that's the right one.

Either that or I just take it to a shop and get them rebuilt there.

Forced induction told me $400/piece for basic rebuild of a td06h and they said it would not be a Chinese center

I bought the non H cartridge and it's a perfect fit. I believe the H has a different compressor wheel.

The cheapest route is to buy a rebuild kit and do it yourself. It's very easy.

I've decided to take it to a local turbo shop and have it rebuilt as well as have ceramic ball bearings put in. Shoukd run me around 500 each.

I find it rather hard to believe anyone is modifying an oil journal core and fitting ball bearings to it.

I know two places that can do that for a minimum of a $1000 each. But that does include a billet wheel and billet CHRA.

Replacing the cores with BB units is not the same as modifying the old cores to take BB's though.

They are effectively just replacing the entire unit really.
