Well, I went and got the motor this saturday ,a forged ls2 408. So in the next couple of weeks we,re going to do that and install the Vortech YSI I,ve had sitting in the basement. And I still need to figure out what I,m going to do for a trans.

i know a good trans builder up your way if you wanna go th400. lmk and i'll pm you his number. he's had a few in the bottom 8's and even a high 7.

yea he did mine up with a tci rmvb & brake and a deep stamped pan for $1100, no core, just to give you an idea. i did end up putting on a deep finned aluminum tci pan and an ultrabell though. figure another $450 between the two if you do the same.


i'm in no hurry now that i see it has way more than enough capability of hitting an 8 even on just 17 lbs! with a better set of heads and more boost it should see something 8.5x's or better!

Actually just decided today i'm looking into seeing if it will sell for the right price. listed it up on my fb page for $25k as it sits. i'm wanting to do another ls notchback build but this time with twin turbos and a/c and no bars. more of a family cruiser that will beat the snot out of the tires at any speed. lol

Took advantage of the great weather yesterday (for january in illinois) and got the rollbar repainted. I'll be calling Speed Inc tomorrow to schedule a date for it to be tuned. Just need to find about 20 gallons of good E85. Probably be 2-3 weeks i'm guessing but sooner if possible.
