Default looking to make 1400hp. need advice

i would really like to got with e85 on this setup, but i know that it is going to take a stupid amount of fuel to do it.
would dual area a1000 fuell pumps supply the fuel i need?
then what sizw would the injectors need to be. maybe a part number
i am also going to be lookinng at the single plane intake and elbow conversion so if anyone has one for sale hit me up!
i also would like to know what cconverter company is recomended on this setup in a 4l60e.

the setup will be a texas speed 408 shortblock, lloyd elliot stage 2 317 heads. with a custom grind boost cam from lloyd.

Dual a1000s would probably do it...at least 160lb injectors, if not 200s.
No chance on a 60e living with that, youll need a fully built 4l80e or th400 if this is a track only car, as well as an upgraded rear end.

What turbos are you planning on? 1400hp is a lot of sauce to ask of a 408...

ya i dont figure that the 4l60 will last long at all. i plan on running a 9" and a 4l80 when time comes. i was also leaning towards the 200lb injectors.
i plan on running twin 76mm magnum p trim turbos on this 408. it will have the dragonslayer craank and callies 1500hp rods. im not sure if they are doing arp main bolts or not tho, im waitng for them to get back to me. i would think they would be using them tho. do you think my goal is out of reach with the 76s?
rob at modular turbo says those should be good to 1400rwhp.

Wasting your time with a 60e. Go with a 80 and brake. Injectors. I would say at least 200 # on E85.

Yes you would need some large injectors for e85. I pretty much maxed my old 160's out on my 408 with e85. But I decided to just go the 110 route instead. e85 is not consistent.

I wouldn't even bother with the 60e. I have seen some hold great power. But I just don't think its worth it.

What are you doing for your FI? Turbo? Supercharger? Both lol

Your goal is out of reach due to just about every chosen component so far.

Maybe the turbos could get there but they are far from ideal. Not sure why anyone would even make a 76mm turbo with a P-trim turbine.

I am not bashing on you but do a search there are plenty of combos out there that make big power however you must set reasonable attainable goals for your budget and select the best parts you can afford otherwise your driving to working on it ratio will suck.

Is this a street car? If so you are pissing in the wind....

Considering how your sig reads you may need to start off a little slower. And dont listen to people who say "I think this will work". You need to start reading constantly before you do anything and a new combination. Good luck.

Two A1000s wouldn't cut it on e85. Maybe two Aeromotive Eliminators, but not A1000s. 160lb injectors also would be sketchy on e85 trying to make 1400whp...

Two Magnafuel 4303s, 200lb + injectors, with -12AN feed/return is what I would do.

You're looking at possibly $5K+ in fuel system alone. I have that much in mine, and I just have one 4303 pump.

Yeah but you have awesome Injectors!

Twin 76s with P-Trim wheels? Alrighty then..

Also a 408 will have trouble keeping the 317 heads down. At that much boost especially.
Aftermarket Heads with an O-Ring setup would be ideal.

Kaleb - I agree with most of the guys that your setup is not really up to par with a 1400rwhp build.... That is a TON of power as you will be WAY north of 1500 to the crank.

What has made you decide on the 1400Hp number? Just to say you have done it?not trying to sound like a jerk but have you ever drove a car making around 1000? My car makes around with 1k range and even on low boost its a handful... let alone 1400

You will find making up to 1k is pricey but after 1K everything literally doubles and triples... Everything has to be right! you need better heads. you need quality turbos, you need a crazy good fuel system, you need a really stout trans, driveshaft and rear.. you need suspension.....etc

I would take a step back and either rethink your build or rethink your goals...then when you decide which one you want to change work towards that.

Best of luck!

Matt

Reading your questions, and reading what you're planning on using....I really think you need to actually hang out with turbo guys that make real power in person and stop reading what joe schmoe says will work on the internet. Your choice of turbos really concerns me (you're going to be paying more for the fuel pump setup than one of the turbos cost.....think about that). Then you need to really read up on everything that goes into anyone trapping 160mph or more here on ls1tech.

But seriously, I would recommend finding a reputable shop and writing a check and picking up the car in a couple months. It will cost $40k doing it yourself, probably $60-80k having a shop do it.
