Default Got my KUP water vapor system hooked up, no retune time!!

Finally got the time to hook up my Kurt Urban water vapor system. Its a very nice piece and a nescesity in my opinion for anyone making decent power that already had their rear steam ports blocked off. The car is a 99 SS M6 with a 9 inch. It has the typical full boltons, custom blower cam and a D1 procharger kit with front mount. The car is tuned now albeit not very well in my opion. It drives like pure crap. It made good power at 581/524 at 10.5# peak boost with the 4.25 blower pully on its current tune. I am dropping it off with Jonathon at Tick Performance Saturday to see what he can do with the tune and maybe turn it up a little . It is still stock bottom end so I don't think he will go too crazy with it but I trust his descision either way. I will keep you guys posted with results. I expect nothing from the best from them as always.

Also going 2 bar SD (which should have been done the first time istead of the hackjob way it was done before maxing the MAF at 4000rpm)

Really not sure. It has 60# injectors and a 255 fuel pump. I remember a thread awhile back with people making big power in stock fuel rails.

So it's just floating there, not mounted at all? Any issues with that?

It will get a fuel system when I build the motor. The 255 will handle the power the stock motor will handle for now.

The lines are pretty tight and really doesnt allow it to move. You acctually have to push pretty hard to move it side to side with your hand. Im going to velcro it to the intake though.

they make a mount for it, based on what intake you have that keeps it from riding on the top of the intake. I am painting mine today along with my coil packs.

I could not have it scraping around on the top of my intake.

Yeah I would have bought the bracker (or made one) if my intake was painted up nice like yours. Looks good man!

So far it has held up to the 581 just fine. I will keep you posted how far we push it and see if it starts to be a issue. It is the racetronix kit with the hot wire.

you could always try some longer lines and a huge Velcro patch or something of that nature. from my understanding the placement of the block and lines is important in some way. i forget why.

I believe its just the placement of the line from the block back to the cooling system ie: radiator. Just needs to be as high as possible.

Me and my brother in law fabbed a bracket to hold the kup so the line out to the rad is on a slight incline.

Is that that heat protectant split loom, it has tape style holding? I just used some of that on my starter wires as my header heat was melting the standard plastic loom. Why needed on that line?

Was there a reason you made the mount with a slight incline in it? Looks good by the way.

It was recommended to help flow from Kurt and others on the board. not sure if that is true or not, but I had to either run it over or under my trans fluid dip stick so I wacked the bracket with a hammer so that it would go over the stick.
