Can you not build more boost off of the line before you leave?

Sure, it will go as high as we want on the brake. Any more than 5.5 psi at launch and it kills the tires. Working with less then perfect track conditions and alot of susp parts that have no right being on the car still (lots of stock parts), but I have to work with it for now until the new Susp is installed. With the new susp I will be shooting for low 1.2's to high 1.1's 60' times and a LOT more dome pressure the entire pass.

That will make it feel like a new car with some 1.1 or 1.2 60's.

I hope so, low timing and low boost is getting old.

Car looks funny with no front susp.

And the new TRZ stuff.

What valve covers are those? I need some tall ones to clear shaft rockers.

Thanks guys. TRZ makes top notch stuff for sure. And talking to Mike on the tech line was extremely helpful.

Valvecovers are cheapy ebay ones we welded 10AN bungs in -- like $99 shipped. figured I'd give them a try for the $$$. I'm happy with them for the price compared to what some charge.

I need some but got a price of 660 shipped on sale for billet ones. Normally like 880 lol pretty damn outrageous when you consider what they do. My intake is only going to cost 605 shipped with rails!

Thanks man.

Well we were able to get a little bit done over the weekend. Front susp is installed. We also were able to get alot of the bracing done in the rear on the UCA crossmember frame which tends to flex under higher HP. I made 1/8" plates to double the thickness of the the mounts for the UCAs and also braced them to the frame. Hoping to finish up this weekend and then off alignment then hit the scales. If all goes well we will be testing on the 19th. Few pics below.

Couple pics of the front DA coil overs

Here are a couple pics of the bracing that we added so far. Still have to add the 2nd set of arms for the double ARB. Also tied the ARB into the cage to prevent any flex.

Tied the shock mounts into the cage also to minimize flex.

Well have not got as much done as I would have liked but thats life. Couple pics of the rear getting closer. Double Anti Roll Bar is now complete, rear shocks & UCA/LCAs installed. I'm finishing up the parachute mounting now and then some bracing of the rear LCAs. Set ride height, pinion angle and then get all weight in the car and on to the scales. Alignment is scheduled for this Sat morning then race Sat night. Hope it all gets done.

Double ARB

DA Afco coil overs

More updates and pics to come.

Default Build

I also have a white 87 GN that used to be a NHRA Super Stock car. Going to put in an 376 LSX twin turbo also. Have a victor jr intake and had to order the edlebrock low elbow for clearance. Going to run E85 and a front mount intercooler, 400 tranny, probably twin 67 turbos from Turbo Direct (garret turbos). Have ford 160lb injectors will see how it all turns out and Holley's Dominator for EFI control.

If you set the engine down as low as you can, the mid size (#3848) Edlebrock elbow will clear the stock hood by .250 to .500" as long as the Victor is not for LS3/L92 heads (its much taller than the cathedral heads Victor and will not clear stock hood). The mid size elbow will flow a ton more air than the low profile elbow which will be important on a high HP build like that one.

What fuel are you going to use?
