wow, thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering how much more it was going to cost pre modded. Thought it'd be more than I wanted to spend. but $20 I can do! THanks

Wink

It's a pretty tight fit when screwed together but a little bit of silicone will do the trick. Anything more permanent and it would be a pita to open up for future mods.

I haven't done any weather proofing to mine. It sits on the engine bay too so knocks on wood

basically there is the MS1 MS2 and MS3

megasquirt chipsets, the Microsquirt is a miniturized SMC version of the Megasquirt 2. with a superior connector.

that is the short of it.

there are other nit picky things like external map and LED wires intead of internal and a bunch of other things.

it was compacted to be used in bikes and snow mobiles Etc.

Just bought my ms3 gold plug and play 2nd hand off of here, can't wait to start tinkering with it. I'm not sure if I've been talking to Mike at EFI Source or somebody else through Facebook, but whoever it is, is very friendly to deal with!

if you are having spark related issues with your microsquirt and you have the 4.7k ohm resistors, swap them out with 3.24k ohm resistors, or if it was purchased pre modded by efi source, let him know and send it back to him for a fix.

we found some cars and coil combinations have weak spark with the 4.7k ohm, found this testing the 58x car, just recently we had a dude on ls1 tech have the problem, and he has the 3.24k ohm in there now and it cleared the problem right up.

just a FYI for the masses.

i wouldn't swap them for no reason though, we have had no problem with 99% of our cars.

the problem did show up with the 58x car we built.

hey denmah if i bought this one --> http://www.efisource.com/shop/ls1-24...icrosquirt-v3/ all id need to do is splice in all the needed pigtails to the harness, then plug it in and since it already has your tune it'd be close enough to start up and dial in the tune from there, is that right?

Is there anything you do special with the IAC when installing the microsquirt or do you just leave it unplugged?
