I'm still blown away that the TB screws came loose. Never seen that before. Glad you are pushing forward and keeping your head up. Many people would have given up for this season by now...

this has all been very interesting. huge props for doing this project yourself, and even moreso after not giving up after the hurdles.

haha. Yea, I bought some winter tires, and I've been daily driving it a ton.

SINGLE DIGIT IATs!

I sold the hotside to a friend, and Im going to build myself a new kit. I'm bored, want more fab practice, and make the car easier to work on.

SO. the new plan:

1 5/8" 4130 Front Half. (No K-member) Mustang front suspension, MWC Cowl delete

Motor plates

AUTO TRANS

New turbo kit, custom down and forward headers, 2 P46 WGs

I think Im going to stick a frozenboost A2W under the dash, and flip the intake backwards.

But to answer your question. Yes, Im making a few changes to set the car up better for 1/4mile. Ill be at Milan as much as possible next year. Probably only at NO ETs though. The car is only going to have a 6pt bar in it, so it will be a little out of spec.

I plan on redoing my setup as well soon. Love how you cut the front nose off near the shock towers and rebuilt front to meet your needs. I'm gonna do the same thing to mine. Got any pictures of the headlight mounting? Interested to see how you get them in place.

haha, nice. Yea I can't believe you were on 60s last year. I plan on running the 275 pro as well. My turbos nowhere near as big as yours but, Ill line it up with you.

It really was not a big deal. I dont have any pictures of it. and unfortunately I cut it apart yesterday. But it really wasn't anything fancy. I just set the assembly in there and made the necessary tabs to hold it in position.

Im not sure where you are, but I have this front bar, pre bent. Fits the T/A bumper so perfectly, I feel bad throwing it away.

I sent you a pm on the bar. But shipping would be to great to justify not just bending what I need up here. Looking at it again ill have to do my bar a little different because my turbo is gonna sit in the dead center nearly up to the bumper.

So, I got the car cut in half yesterday... Looks pretty insane. Ill get a pic up when I can. My local hater crew is sure the car will never make it 12ft down the road.

Last night I got everything I need for the front half ordered.

80ft of 1-5/8" .083 wall 4130
8ft of 1" .083 wall 4130 (front control arms)
tube adapters/Aurora rod ends
Ball joint/ ball joint sleeve
Upper Strut mount
a few sq ft of 4130 1/8" plate
some tube notched lower control arm mounts

1/4" alum motor plate
.090 steel mid plate.

All my stock suspension stuff is for sale. Gunmetal powdercoated K-member, control arms, spindle. Red powdercoated/smoothed calipers, bilstein/eibach setup. Let me know.

Its funny, when I started my first build on this car, like 5 years ago. White lightning told me this...

and I really took that to heart, I literally dont even flinch at the most insane chassis mods anymore. haha

Firewall forward. I won't have a k-member. Things will move fast this week(but keep in mind i have a 40hr/week desk job), so it'll make sense soon

Ill be running a mustang style front suspension, btw.

Thanks man.

Ask and you shall recieve. (This is actually from yesterday, I forgot todays update) Today, I got some tubing work done, which is hard to explain... its not a style/design that anyone ever does. but its my version to make it more of a streetcar(I don't want a "cage")

I will be sure to get a picture tomorrow. Tomorrow, I plan on getting the new door X bars in (streetcar version)
