Default Brute Speed 98-02 F Body ProCharger Kit Now Has It's Own PN# At ProCharger

1TE100-SCI

http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1TE10...-Speed-Kit.htm

I sell enough of these systems with the Aster bracket in place of the ProCharger J Bracket, truck hat & larger filter in place of the standard parts, balancer, etc, that ProCharger has come up with a pn# for us, which makes it easier for them when I place these orders. Bob

The Aster Auto Spring loaded tensioner is able to automatically adjust as the belt stretches during increased engine RPM. This accomplishes three major benefits over a manual tensioner.

Static tension can be lower as you only need to keep the belt taught in its current state.
Belt stretching is of little concern as the tensioner will move to maintain tension.
The spring in the unit acts as a shock absorber for vibration in the belt reducing stress on the bracket system and alleviating rattle and noise.

It also has a TON more belt wrap around the blower pulley to also reduce slip plus it uses all the bolts on the head unit.

Going with this kit from Bob is a perfect recipe for 500-800 rwhp depending on how much boost you want to run and if you have enough supporting mods like fueling and exhaust.

Gone are the days of countless posts complaining about belt slip thanks to Aster's bracket and Bob supporting it.

Honestly, for a street car, it's a hard argument to justify going with a turbo setup over a D1SC setup from Bob with Aster's bracket. It's reliable, easy to install, and such a blast on the street and strip.

Fewer bruised knuckles from constantly screwing with the manual tensioner.

the other day i met a guy with a charger with a d1sc on it... the blower whine was terrible... made the car sound like an airplane while just rolling in a parking lot... i dont know if they are all that loud, but his d1sc sounded really really bad and cheap... i was thinking of putting one on my car until i heard his... turbos are much better for a street car since they are quiet... again i don't know much about prochargers or even if that was normal but his sounded terrible

Look into the Helical gear option for the D1SC. It quiets the supercharger down alot.

I never heard a D1SC in person but from the video's I have watched I don't care for how loud the D1SC is.

I had a P1SC-1 on a 2001 WS6 and was surprised how quiet it was. While Idling, you could hear it but it wasn't bad at all. Driving it, you couldn't even hear it at all.

The helical gear option does indeed greatly quiet the blower whine, as the standard straight cut gears do produce a lot of noise. Some people want them loud, others want them quiet. It's nice to have this option available. Bob

That is one of the reasons I would love to have a Procharger setup. Louder the blower whine the better.

I've heard this from many people, they also act as a great deer whistle to keep deer away. Bob
