Well I wasnt expecting to have my heads so soon but Martin sent me my tracking info today and they will be here mid next week!

Still need to order a few things to button up drivetrain then I will just be waiting on the turbo kit.

Also debating with just running an intercooler, if I do it will be this big treadstone trv259 rated for 1300hp
And will put both inlets on the driver side

What are your guys thoughts on running a stock TB? I have seen several cars in the 8's running stock TB's and that is about $400 I dont need to spend! I also plan on welding a v band onto my tb and running a vibrant v band assembly which are pretty dam expensive 120 iirc and dont want to haft to do it twice! Beleive it or not this is considered a budget build lol!

If you're referring to the same Vibrant clamp I have on my TB, that's actually called a Wiggins Clamp.

Which stock 90mm tb are you going to use that is cable operated?

It is a Vibrant clamp, but it's a Wiggins style clamp. A Wiggins clamp uses O-rings on either side of the clamp to seal the tubing off along with the edge being rolled to fit into the groove of the clamp. It's like a super v-band clamp. Van Jen does also make a Wiggins as well.

They aren't cheap that is for sure!!!

I wouldn't put a 78mm throttle body on it. I broke down and bought a Fast 92mm cable driven TB for my stock LS3 intake. Very very nice throttle body.

Oh ok I see! I woukd love to use those clamps instead but I would need 4 which woukd be about $500 in just clamps!!! Thats if I go the intercooler route.

Yea I think im going to haft to cough up the money for a new TB, maybe find a used one!

Realistically I would like to run a solid 5.40-5.50 in the 1/8 which equates to an 8.40 but when I build my new motor I will mist likely pin the gate shut and try to run a 5.1x!!

I do more 1/8 racing since 1/4 puts alot more stress on the motors!

Based on what some of these guys are doing with junkyard 5.3s and BW S480s, you should have that covered once she is sorted.

Yea thats what I was originally going to do is run the **** out of my 5.3 but I didnt want to ruin a decent little motor that I am now using for the g body that we are building with a borg warner 75/83.

I woukd like to go with an RHS or LSX 6 bolt block in the future, maybe next year!

Shoukd be a good run! I woukd like to run on same boost levels just to see how the combos compare! I wonder how much boost its gonna take to go 150 in the 1/4! That was my goal for the car and I think I should be able to do it on moderate boost I woukd say 12-14 judging by a few other combos I have seen.

Got a PM from Huron Speed, kit will be shipped out in a few days just waiting on O2 bung for my downpipe.

Hopefully i will not have any issues with spooling this this big turbine with the 2.25 crossover and it being fully divided.

i Will be wrapping everything with DEI titanium wrap. On the downpipe i am going to stop right before the downpipe and use Flat Black high temp paint and see how it holds. ENJOY!
