BUMP...........Lets keep this going. Good info here for those contemplating the use of meth be it straight or mixed.

really like seeing before/after meth numbers... mines waiting on tuner after adding meth. So, the more you turn up the meth the more power?

I dont believe it should be looked at that way, instead think of the water/meth as an adjustable inter-cooler, which allows a more aggressive tune-up. its the tuneup that makes the power

Agree with 3 Pedals, im not an expert nor a qualified tuner but from what ive experienced.
Meth = fuel. It's higher octane allows for later timing and its heat absorbtion quality speaks for its self (lower IATs). Allowing for more boost without detonation ( to a degree). Its all in the tune if your looking for more power it allows you to have a more agressive tune. The gamble is: if it dosent spray
(for whatever reason) your are out on a limb. In my case: I'm spraying 50/50 Meth & Water for cooling effects only. It's a low dose to help my DD keep its timing before my Heat Pump Maggie gets too saturated and yanks the timing. The tune is set so if itbdosentbspray, its not catestrohic . So for me, the end result is more of engine preservation as well as protecting the powerr that i had to start with.

Stock bottem end 5.3 with arp rod bolts,ls6 headgaskets, headstuds on small 545 lift turbo cam,s480 small turbine 1.1ar into a qft 750ban.4gph at turb outlet 2-5gph at hat on pumpgas 93 & 90%meth/10% washerfluid mix and 18-19lbs.ais 3nozzle kit.by my impellor chart it was making 875-900hp at 6700rpms.

new twin 70mm setup will get a 5gph on each turb outlet and one 7gph at hat.gna be making about 100hp more but at lower max rpm on bigger impellor.lookn to turn 6500 @ 16-18lbs on pumpgas 93 & 90/10 mix, make 950ish at the 6500.the s480 wld push us 108 in 900ft im lookin for 115 in the same 900ft and we re calln that good and shld be able to run the liquid qtr in 9sec et class or back it down for 10sec m/e class.prob start doin 10sec qtr mile class till my 16yr old daughter driver gets the hang of sanctioned dragboat racing.

edit: sorry forgot timing specs . i run 32* outta boost and start pullin it down at atmosphere and by 7lbs its down and locked to 14*.i used the nitrous retard function of the msd6012 setup to remove 3* as soon as key comes on and when hobbs turns on methpump it drops the voltage to the retard wire and adds back in the 3* for a total of 17* locked above 8lbs boost. i just put the nitrous retard wire from the msd to the normally closed side of the hobbs switch and when hobbs gets nuff pressure of course it switches from normally closed to the normally open side effectively controlling timing and methpump easy way to add back in timing when meth comes on.

Sorry to thread jack a bit but since there are some real world applications of Meth use here, are you guys running "off the shelf" fuel lines or are you using PTFE fuel lines with your setup? I know with my previous setup I was going to use PTFE for E85.....just seeing what you guys are using with the Meth Spray setup.

Thanx
