Default Who makes the best flowing heads for 4.030 bore and a THICK deck......for my 390ci...

So I'm looking for heads with a thick deck and the best flow I can get.......NOT 6 bolt heads. Just 4 bolt heads.

390ci.......I want the heads for when I do the Modular Turbo TT kit.

20psi is the plan.

Thanks.

(((Searching is like trying to find a needle in a haystack)))

Will those heads be just fine for 20psi and a goal of around 1,100 RWHP....?

How much are they...?

N/A I might go expensive MAST heads, but its boosted so no need for the best flowing big dollar heads.

I'm Shooting for 1000+rwhp with the same heads.
I think it's somewhere between $2300-2400 if I'm not mistaken which is very nice for the option you're getting.

Guys have made 1000+ with 317s, but I see where you're coming from. Look into the Mast Small Bore LS3 Heads, a set of 4.00" Bore AllPro -1 Heads, or have Chris Frank or RFD do some LSX-LS3 Castings for you. But seriously, there is no need for a high dollar head for your goals. IMHO it would be a waste of money on a 4-Bolt setup.

I went with the TFS LS 220 "As cast" heads. .750 deck thickness.
TFS-3061T002
$1800.

Been told I should be good for around 1300-1400 flywheel with the ls9 gaskets and 1/2" studs. Pending tune of course... Most of it is in the tune.

If $ is no object the MAST heads are nice. Otherwise call Richard at WCCH and have him spec you out some All Pro heads.

I wouldnt think youd need an expensive head like MAST or Allpro to reach your goal...
Im sure youd be fine with PRC or even TFS.

We made over 1100 through a set of our 317's, on the "right next door to free" side. We have been super impressed with the Mast products looking at things on the other end of the spectrum.

i agree with dude above. no need for those 6 bolts on a 4 bolt setup. but for future purposes and people like me who don't know when enough is enough and want to make 1300-1400 on a DD a 6 bolt block may be necessary for the longhaul and you will def be glad you already have the heads for it to make the hit less brutal. $0.02

PRCs will get the job done any day without spending way too much. Shoot, even 317s will do a badass job as mentioned already.

I bought a set of lsa heads. Even after porting, they will only be in the $1300-1500 range. Looking to put down about 1000rwhp with them

The LSA's are a nice budget option but I'd opt for the Mast heads.
