on a side note, i'm picking up a 408 saturday and doing a set of twins on it (home built with a buddy of mine). It'll be a while to allocate the rest of the funds, but it's going into an 8.50cert '93 notch roller i just picked up and have gathered a few misc items here and there (th400, JW converter, huge a/a ic and a bit more), just needing a pcm, harness, fuel system and tuning and should be close to then. goal is 1100+rwhp and 3-400lbs lighter than the black car was (949rw & 3400 lbs). Hoping it's a lil quicker....
Jesus Dave you ain't messing around this time are you.

I hear ya and I understand what you mean by "break in" I've been dealing with Nick at Sraightline for about 7 years now and they've always been pretty good guys to do business with . Am I ready to have my car back? HELLYEAH!!! But when I go to pick it up I don't feel like I have to buy a rape kit before I get there.

Thanks, I'm in the middle of a twin 370 build and am always looking for ideas on how other people are doing it. Your combo looks great btw!

To all...the car is going and all that is left now is very little wiring! With this move / holidays and crappy Chicago weather put a little damper on a few things but were 100% in and 100% rolling! We're looking to do the first fire up Tuesday

Also on mikes kit he has twin 3" down pipes on both sides of the motor "non ac k-member" merged to a 4"

Be very anxious to see how those msd coils work out for you. I've never heard one person say a good thing about them.

I've heard the same thing, they were on the car when I bought it in 2007, since then I've went through 3 superchargers,2 motors and never had a problem with them, so hopefully they'll keep up.

Looks good!! Nearly time for them Numbers to register! What's the power and ET goals you'd like to see out of it?

When I bought the motor I was told it dynoed at 919rwhp with twin 6262s, but I don't know on what kind fuel or what kind of dyno, and Straightines dyno is pretty stingy, I would be really happy to see 800rwhp on 93 and meth and run about mid 9s

I'm sure that's plenty achievable and great power for a true street car imo!

Ijust talked to the guy I bought the motor from and he said it dynoed at 919 horsepower on 93 octane and that's what I'm tuning it on . Probably 17 pounds of boost 93 octane and meth. If I'm anywhere near that I'll be extremely satisfied.

No doubt! That's 8 sec power!! I'm curious to see how the 408 likes this 62mm turbos. Are they what the other guy ran by chance?
