Finally got some updates guys.
Victor L92 intake came in as did my Wilson 1.75" spacer and Wilson elbow. What I didn't realize is the Wilson elbow takes a Ford style TB. So I am having to send it back and I ordered an Edelbrock elbow instead. It's a 7" tall elbow so it's not a low profile elbow.
We also got the cross over piping done and the waste gates are being fitted and welded now.
We went with an equal length cross over to maximize scavenging and try and make as much torque as possible throughout the power band. Our fabricator here @ Tick is friends with Eric Yost the fabricator who built the turbo kit for the fastest drag radial car in the world currently(Kevin Mullins). Let's just say there is a damn good reason to do it this way!
I'm sure the way the waste gates are going to be mounted will leave some scratching their heads as well. If you look at Kevin's car you'll see his are done the same way.

Lookin good Martin. The wastegate placement is very interesting. Got me looking and rethinking my logic. Glad I'm finding out all this awesome info before I redo my setup lol.

Martin, why dont you just place the one gate straight off the 180* bend facing the passenger front corner, and the other one off the second 45* elbow facing the driver front corner? That looks like the best two paths with "about" equal distance from the collector.... Just a thought...

It's done for CO2 control. When you have the gate right in the stream of the exhaust flow it hammers the gate with positive exhaust pulses. Requiring more CO2 to keep the gate closed.
When you have to use that much CO2 just to keep the gate closed, it takes that much more to open it. Meaning a larger swing in CO2 pressure.
With the gate removed from the flow you need a larger gate to effectively control boost properly, but there is an advantage. It requires less CO2 to keep the gate closed, and thus open it. Smaller swing.
More finite control. It's the difference between a 4.11 pass on 315 radials and going up in smoke when the power starts to come in.
On this big power cars, half a psi or a psi change of boost is a lot of power. It can be just enough to keep the tire planted and weight transferred with the nose in the air, or just enough to smoke the tires and unload the front end.
This allows better control, but you need a larger gate. I'm going to try it like this and if boost comes in too fast and I can't control it properly I'm going to put bigger gates on it.
The equal length piping is done for power gains, the gate placement has no effect on power just to be clear.
So I realized that the Wilson elbow I purchased will only work with a ford style TB. So I returned it and purchased this Edelbrock elbow instead.
Also mounted the valve covers on the engine today. Starting to look more and more complete!
