If your goals are set that high at 5.50s, i would highly recommend talking to the guys at Comp turbo. They have very efficient billet wheel design that will meet any needs you may have. even if you are set on that little 4.8L

Problem withcthat is if my motor takes a ****, its going straight thru a pair of $2000+ turbos which is not practical for me. Too many people are going fast with ebay stuff I dont see a reason to spend that kind of money. We will see how it works out.

And if the 61's are good to 900 flywheel there is no way they will make 900 to the tires thru a 9" and th400 lol. I think the 67's woukd have been a slightly better choice but I think these 70's will do perfectly for what I want to do.

Did they tell you 1100 at "25psi"? How do you even calculate hp at a specific boost level without knowing the combo? 408ci coukd take 15psi to make 1100 where a 4.8 might take 28psi...
By looking at a compressor map...they show air flow(HP) by pressure ratio(boost) to give you an efficiency number or surge limit. No where do they look at an engine size. It could be guessed by the HP it makes at lower PR, but that would be how you calculate AVAILABLE hp(mass flow) by a specific boost level. A compressor map, if available.

BTW those On Three 60s sound just like a SC61, or p-trim(64mm) with a 61 mm compressor. And those were generally done making power at low 600s hp. each. usually only getting there with a high PR(=small engine)

They also state that none of their turbos have compressor maps...

Ran them before, zero issues. Tons of low 8, high7 sec cars running them on YB. No point in spending 500 on something that does the exact same thing

A few big changes made, decided to ditch the stock ecu and go with the Holley HP. I think it will be the best investment I make.

Also decided to use the two 70mm turbos and keep it simple with a single so I ordered up a s475 just to get the car rolling and will probably look intova 76R when I max this one out. I saw that new x235 class rules come out and it looks pretty interesting and is limited to a cast 76mm so I hope it will lead to slower 5.3x-5.5x class.

What x235 rules you looking at? The ones i see allow big turbos and foggers. No boost controlllers or progressives.

Keep us posted here! I have an 81 Malibu that will be getting a similar setup! I should start a build thread for it here on the forums.

I think there is two separate classes cause I saw those rules also with pro mod 88's and such. Im not building the car for any class I just happened to see it and the car fits the class. Should hopefully be a slower class.

Yea primarily an 1/8 car.. I like 1/8 racing and I think the motor will be capable of more power only running 1/8

What did that car end up running? Or did you never get it back to the track after the 10.x passes? Is this the same car?
