The good thing about having 4.10 gear in my car is that it stays in the power band through every gear. I am the owner of the camaro in the video.

I'd guess a taller gear would bring the boost in sooner and make it even more responsive down low.Did for me anywho... Congrats, looks like a blast!

355 gear would be my pick. Put meats on rear and load it even more like I did and pick up a few more psi. Spinning = less boost.

Just use the money for gears to buy a new cam or maybe a used turbo gears aren't going to make that big of a difference

My 4.10 gear keeps me in the boost, which is a good thing since this setup is a turd until it hits boost. I have it to the floor about 3 sec into the video. That 9 lbs makes a big diff

Gears can make a huge difference. Instead of changing gear all the time and going nowhere...you can actually accelerate. 4.1 is pretty short gearing.

Fine for n/a with very low power though

My car got definitely got quicker when i changed from 3.70s to 3.25s. The less shifting you do, the better. It spools up and just move through the rpms nice slow.. but at full boost, which means more power for longer.

Oh yeah. Ill never go over a 355 gear on my setup. Like you said the long gears staying in full boost longer. Lower gear will help launching for the track visits though.

Taller gears grunt a turbo harder and give you more usable Rpms instead of being on the limiter every half second. I like the tallest gear possible without hurting the 60'.

Well I have a Dana 60 and not gonna change the gear. I will definitely be using my slicks at the track. It will be a different car with the slicks, being that they are 28s it makes the gears longer. On my n/a setup I never got out of third in a 1/8 at 98mph and was around 6000 rpm. Should get 105 out of third

To be honest I haven't driven my car but for only 30 miles since I got it back from tick. I've only done 1st gear hits. I will take it for a spin tomorrow and see how it does from 2nd gear. It's my first turbo car and I'm just enjoying the sound, but Stephen is persistent that I boost it up.

Do third gear hits. 2nd will spin and not load the turbo enough to really feel it good. I had a diesel truck roll coal past me the other day on the interstate. Told Lauren to hang on. I down shifted to third and come past him hard. He had his window down on the side where my exhaust exits the bumper. Looked in my rear view and you could see the fuel cloud I engulfed him in lol. I love it.
