What pound spring do you have. Changing cam next Saturday. And this is a question for everyone, if I put a ball valve inline of the wastegate boost line and closed it some would it allow more boost to be made or be the same.

I have the lightest springs in the box. I'll give you whichever one you want or else you can do the ball valve thing. The more air/boost you allow to the top port on the waste gate the more boost turbo will yield. If your gonna do ball valve just leave the spring alone. Just crack the valve a little and watch boost and inch it up as you want. I always test mine at highway speed on 4th. That's your most load and shouldn't have to get more than 4000 to see whatever the max its gonna max. If not enough crack valve open a little more.

Yeah I will just use the ball valve, probably have Jonathan take it down the road first to tune the cam in and have the ball valve closed a little and see what it hits on the street. Looking to hit 13 to 14 bc I know it won't get but 11 or 12 on the dyno if I can get 14psi on the street. But I would just like to see the diff between the new cam at 8 psi. And I will mark the ball valve at the desired psi.

like this...

pop the gauge off and plug it, mount **** close to driver and you can adjust boost on the fly. Plumb it like so. Happy face sticker on the **** is an optional upgrade...

Your thinking of an adjustable spring loaded check valve. (sometimes called a grainger valve) Adding one of these inline can help with spool assuming the spring in your gate is well below your desired boost level. Putting one by itself inline would cause boost to pulse. You would need a bleed of some sort in addition. You could use one with the pneumatic regulator.
