It still needs a different cam IMO.

A 215/215 113lsa cam would rip in this set-up.

What size piping on the hotside/merge did you use? Didn't see it mentioned in the thread.

i bet 4.10 gears coupled with being a dynojet could attribute to that as well (unless this one is a loaded dynojet)

And for the New downpipe. 3.5" all the way out and new flange from Race Parts Solutions. Picked up 3-4 psi just from this new downpipe changing nothing else.

Some of the stainless bends are defects from KOOKS that why this one has a slight roll in it. Helping him keep cost down.

One more thing. Don't use a cheap clamp on your cold pipes. After the new downpipe we when for a ride. Now the car makes 13psi and it blew the pipe off lol. Messed radiator up and ripped wires out of iat sensor. Radiator still holds fluid but just looks messed up. I gave him a nice tbolt clamp to put back on so this wont happen again.

Whilst it's always wise to use quality clamps.

The problem there is mostly due to a non existent bead/lip on that TB.

Tightening the crap out of it with strong clamps is one solution, but not always the best.

He will be at the track with us if his schedule allows. He will be on 16" salad shooters and slicks.

To tell you the truth I really didn't pay attention. If he gets back to the dyno Jonathan can overlay the graph and see the difference.

I haven't driven it enough to see if it spools sooner.

Got Steven's car back in the shop to do address a few issues. For one a major boost leak thru the iat sensor causing max boost to be 10psi regardless. Going to install an exhaust trim ring also and put a lt1 cover on the top of the radiator. He still needs a turbo blanket and a few things but its getting there. Hopefully today I will see 15psi or so when I take it out for a test after fixing leak and adding another spring in the gate.

A long evening with this car trying to figure out why it will not make more boost. I checked intake, lines behind intake, all vacuum lines in general going to the wastegate and bov, all couplings and clamps and cold piping, took intercooler off and pressure tested with air, fixed iat sensor where no air will pass through it, checked tb gasket, added another spring in the wastegate and still not but 10psi at peak. Made a super thick aluminum cap off plate for the vband wastegate port and capped it of to see if there was a problem with the wastegate. Its a JGS 50mm and ive never heard of them having problems. Took the car out and it hit 12psi and felt like it picked up 100rwhp across the rpm band. Rolls third off as soon as boost comes in and tires are spinning a little in fourth as well. Also the response is half the time it was. It probably will not stay capped off for long before the gate goes back on but it is puzzling why it will not produce more boost pressure. Also took EGR Block off plate off and checked oring and looked into intake to make sure the intake valley plate was intact.

Specs again are:

4.8
243's
LS6 Cam/with springs/pushrods, all the normal cam stuff.
BBK Aluminum Intake
S366 with 1.00ar/73mm turbine
3" CX Racing Intercooler
JGS 50mm Wastegate
HKS BOV

Its on straight 93 pump gas and 16 degrees of timing according to the tuner (Jonathan@Tick)

Maybe it could be something with the valvetrain bleeding boost off? Maybe a restriction from the intercooler? Got me scratching my head!!!

I did put a lt1 cover over the radiator which he provided and also an exhaust trim ring on. Car looks a lot cleaner.
