I want to hear some members ideas on changing my set up for the 2014 season.
We need about 3000 hp and need to run well into the 6's
Currently about 2000 hp @ 35 lbs of boost
Current set up.
- 430 ci
-Twin Percision 76 mm billet wheels, wanting to switch to 88's
-16 injectors. Thinking of switching back to 8 injectors. Not sure on size yet?
-Weight about 3175, we're looking weigh less
-TH 400 2.10 first gear
-PTC converter, thinkng of switching to Pro Torque
-Compression about 10.8 to 1
-Need a new cam, current 264 ish .725 @ 113, it's peaking out at 7400 rpm with the 76's , I need to spin the motor to 9000 rpm.
-Currently a wet sump , really thinking of switching to dry sump.
-Running coil on plug, stock coils. I have new AEM HO coils not installed yet.
-Running twin ele fuel pumps , need to go belt driven.
-Steel rods, poss alum??
-I/C in passenger seat of car. Thinking of moving it to the front of the car?
-Running a Beck intake , it's been working so well hate to change it.
-Running original ET LS7 heads. Change worth it??? Which heads??
Ideas????
Questions????
Let them fly. I want to hear what the members have to say!!
We will be posting pics of progress and decisions we end up making.

couple of questions
your asking for help on a forum, but you list guys / companies in your sig that already help you??
why not just let them do their job and build you an engine program, tune it, and jobs done??
the turbos your currently using are pt7675?
don't they support 1100 each?
can you find another 200 ish some where?

Ok, plans have changed a little. Staying 76's . Motor is coming out and going to LME for a freshen up. Time for new pistions 3 yrs old and rods 4 yrs old. lol. Going with a belt drive fuel pump, getting rid of the twin ele pumps. Working on getting some new heads, we will know soon. Going to stay COP for now.
Speed Inc is going to spec a new cam and we are thinking about moving my IC from the drivers seat to the nose of the car. Needless to say we're need to change the hot a cold side. I would like to take the air filters off and get some fresh outside air, I'm sure Dan will come up with something.
Midwest Chassis is going to take some weight out of the car so I can get down to legal weight and have room to move ballast around. We need to rework my window net and Eric said he has a few other things he wants to do??? I don't know I just let him do his thing, lol.
Also I'm going to try a Pro Torque converter.

There's more power to be had in better 76s (assuming you're running the 7675s). You can pick up another 300-400 HP going to 83mm or larger turbine wheels and race covers if you don't have them. Making the move to T6 housing on twins might do more harm than good, unless you opt for divided housings. Removing the air filters is also a good idea, especially if your inlets are aimed at the front of the car.
Weight is gonna be where you see the biggest benefit. Get below race weight and put as much as you can over the nose. Having a couple hundred pounds of moveable ballast does more than you think.

Just for reference, Nelson makes 2500hp on his 454LSx, and he use two 88mm turbos.

You could just write him a check for $52k and add a 500 progressive shot of nitrous

I like letting the turbos face the front fresh air...at speed it should be good for 1psi or so of free boost at the top half...I would have to run the numbers to know exactly though...
