It's all going to be a weight game. I honestly think my setup would be solid into the 7's at a 3000 lb race weight vs the 3420 lb 8.22 pass. Get a 2800 lb car that works well and someone will go mid 7's with a factory bottom end. The lighter the car the easier it is on the engine as well.

Agree on both ends there. there are a few people in light sub 3k chassis, and quite a few in Fox bodys in the 3k range making great power....it may only be a matter of time.

lm4 is from the trailblazer ext . I think its simply a aluminum LM7 . I can get one for like $200 complete so was thinking of picking it up and throwing some good heads and a good cam in it. But not sure if it has the better rods or not.

I think 05 was the transition year to "big" rods, but I could be wrong. I still need to do more research on the specifics there.

Is ti Legit? That would be #3 on the list, and likely 1st if the had it on a dynojet! Cool to see a N/A pull for comparison.

I think 7's could be done with a light enough car and the right set up. Being non-intercooled I was leaving some power on the table plus my car was 3175lbs which is a bit heavier than most foxes. I got down to the 8.7's while playing with the converter/gearing before I popped my engine.

Belongs to my buddy Casy Rance in temple TX. NA pull was pretty low because exh was still spinning turbo abd was pig rich. Would have been 100 HP higher or so with a NA tune and exh system. Car is a beast and heard it went 11xx hp the other day on a different dyno. Went some mid low 5's with his old cast S480 setup backed off. Has a sbe 5.3L with stock 243 heads, my 221 cam, and a Billet S484.

Vid says he has different heads. Did he change them after? Oh and what trans?

Stock 799 heads and single BW S484/96. He doesn't post much on forums. Used to go by Casey23 on truck side. His business is SWG performance in temple TX.

No it says stock 799 heads. Has a powerglide trans and 9'' rear.
