Just locked in a spot for the TX2K15 roll race event. Looks like I'll be keeping the T56 for a little while longer.

Thats bad ***. Do they have different brackets in that event? Without looking back through the pages, what did it roll on the Dyno? Timing and Iat?

STRUCTURE: Cars will qualify into one of three classes. The top 16 cars will be in the Unlimited bracket, the next 16 will be in the Super Sport bracket and the next 16 will be in the Sport bracket. Grudge matches (callouts) will be allowed as will test-n-tune runs. We will have a VHT tractor and a crew responsible for “prepping” the full 1,500 ft race distance. I reserve the right to change these classes pending input from sponsors but as of right now this how they will be designed. The other option is a RWD, AWD and Manually Shifted class

I only made one dyno pass with the car on no timing and 12lbs. It made 652 with some AFR issues. We've made some big changes since then. I'm going to guess it makes close to 1k on 20ish lbs (pump gas) I'll probably switch up fuels for this event to see what it does. So timing numbers are irrelevant at this point

If you go auto and plan on a lot of highway driving, 4L80e is the way to go. The sloppy transbrake makes 1.5 60 ft times seem like every day stoplight acceleration. That and a mostly stock 80e with minimal parts will hold 800 HP.

Its huge, though. Mine took a big hammer and a lot of time wearing out my forearms to get it to fit into my Nova. Another one I helped install needed a full tunnel replacement. The cooler lines are usually the biggest issue. But damn does that thing pull on the highway. I've used the footbrake in his car to load up the turbo to 5 PSI, and then when I let off the brake and go wide open, it feels like I've been rear-ended by a train. His 275 ET streets hook so hard from a footbrake roll its really catches you off guard.

epic! sub'd for videos!

with 1k whp and 2700lbs or whatever it weighs in at, your ride should be mental and hurt some feelings. Really interested to see how that t56 holds up with all that power too.

Power isn't a big deal. Getting it down is. People here don't grasp what the awd stuff like the gtr and ttgs can do on the street

Yup. My car is worthless on the street. Doesn't catch traction until 4th gear. We will see what it does on a prepped surface though.

Time for some progressive boost control on that thing. Some of the big boys don’t hit full boost till 150+ out there! Even a simple 2 stage setup would make a big difference

That is the same tire i used under my NA LS swapped rx7. Cut a 1.41 60ft bogging to a 10.9 run on 390rwhp.

My ramp rate is set in over a 2.5 second period. It works well on the track with poorly heated tires so im assuming it will do fine this trip. What I REALLY need to do is start dialing in a C16 or E85 tune.

Anyone have a good link to some C16 or E85 timing tables? I'd like to start reading.

That’s nutty it’s still worthless on the street with the progressive boost at your current power levels. Guys out here are pushing 1200whp+ on the street with boost by speed setups. May just need some fine tuning there… and a 300lbs in the trunk! The ballast amounts some of these sneaky squirrel “Street” guys are running is surprising.

Denmahs timing tables on that 7 second mustang are in the build thread. (pump/race gas tables) With pump E85 the base fuels and ethanol percentage vary so much, I don’t even change the timing table. With drum or custom blends you can get more aggressive… but the gains aren’t anything to write home about form what I’ve seen. Also read several reports indicate pump E85 actually burns faster and may require less lead than equal octane race gas. *

yeah 3180 with me in it is a recipe for fun. Sometimes I can get traction in 3rd but not often. Not to mention I am still around 16.5lbs. I'm guessing it's in the 820/850 range. I would really like to get boost by speed setup and give that a try. It seems to work well for a lot of people. From what I remember seeing (a while ago) guys where tipping 20+ degrees on E85/C16.. Maybe I was seeing things.

Update:

I found a set of those beefed up stub axles (brand new) from a guy looking to switch up rear ends. While I still paid $950 for them, it is miles better than $1500! With that said I will be keeping my T56 and will spend a little more time perfecting the technique of loading the driveline prior to launching. I suspect this will yield me MUCH greater results (not breaking ****.)

I no longer have anymore 93 in the fuel tank so it is time for some E85 tuning. I've convinced myself that showing up to TX2K15 on pump gas is a bad idea. This car is going to have to make every bit of 1000whp to be even somewhat competitive.

Pickup a vbox if you want to be able to see what works and what doesn't. It works awesome for the rolling incremental stuff.

Can make some changes and come back in a couple days and see exactly what and where changed compared to the previous hits

Just did some research on these, Pretty badass. I don't know how serious i will get into "roll racing" but i can see these being useful in a lot of other ways.

Its addicting, I don't even have the itch for the track anymore really. At the track the box is within .02 and 1mph aswell. It is fun to see where you sot against the big boy gtr and lambo guys
