Running the Runway Rivalry last year,(which is setup identically to the way this was run) I can tell you 160 in typical 3000+ # sports cars roughly 1000 wheel. So, I'd say hitting 157-160 is a heck of an accomplishment!

I was very happy with the numbers! I just wish they came a day sooner.

Nice nice . . . to quote Bill Lear, "If it looks good, it will fly good."

That car looks like it's doing 200 standing still, and damn fine at the same time

Gorgeous car, glad I got to see it in person at RPR. Hope to see it again next year. I was sorting problems on my car as well during the drag event.

Really? 160trap=1000ish whp-I'd say so with a standing 1/4 mile, but a 1500ft roll race with a 60mph start speed??

One thing to take into consideration with my trap speed is A. I was spinning third and B. I ran out of gear and coasted through the traps on every run. Had I got a clean run in it would have been close to 170 I'm sure. Also I'm merely assuming my car makes 1K based on fuel consumption and IDC %

He's not to far off. Those 1200+hp cars where barely doing 165

Here is one of my high power vbox runs, on the street, not on a prepped surface. That is from well under 1k in the beginning to probably over it a bit on top.

True 1kwhp will be over 160 easy in 1500ft from a dig, let alone a roll

I agree I'm at 2900lbs and hit 159 in the 1/4... no where near 1000whp.

I was unimpressed with my speeds and thought I'd do 170 no problem. I literally had one clean mechanical run all weekend so there really is no telling.. That 160mph run was a joke. If you look at 1320's video it was the one against the black supra. You can see me pull out way in front and then basically coast the big end. I have an idea of what my car makes and I know it's close to 1K. I will say this I was there watching 12/1400HP cars making 165mph passes for 2 days granted they where 3700lbs. I'm not quite sure how the rolling start compares to QTR mile speeds but it was what it was. My car trapped 142mph at 15lbs and 93 with the worlds worst driving.

BTW I was able to get my 25lbs ramp rate down to 1.3 seconds on those shitty street tires.

I can't lie it was hooking pretty good. I wish to god those 28's would have fit. I probably wouldn't have run out of gear and could have turned the ramp rate down to basically nothing.

Gents, re-read my post...

Also, do a roll event that's similar and I'm sure you'll be surprised by the results.

Wasn't doubting your power output. Just commenting on the 3000lb 1000WHP cars trapping 160 this type of event. 60' time effects the ET a massive amount. Starting at 60mph is a huge advantage. I'm sure alot of ******* claim 1000+whp and make 600. Or spin half the run. I hear 1000hp tossed around alot in hipster street racing scene these days.

I'm sure if you quit dorkn around with that whimpy rear and put an 8.8 with some 3.08's you'd hit 170+ easy... I'll trade you 280's anytime! This 4 link 8.8 is just begging to hurt some lambo's feelings.

I wasn't assuming you where doubting my out put, I was just making it clear what i assume I'm making. Honestly i'm really surprised at the speeds that where being put down. I thought Things where going to be different. As far as that rear end is concerned.. As much as i would love to go SRA and be done with it, I cant seem to bring myself to it. I have so much cash tied up in that damn rear end it would be blasphemy to do it over. Also i really like the IRS its nice to keep the stock suspension as it allows me to compete in "street car" classes. The second you switch suspension locations your done for. I hate the 3.54 though! I wish they had more options.. Im currently looking at a TR6060 so i might try and make up for some of the short comings with the gearing in the trans.

BTW that Z inst that bad! You need to get a thread going so we can see what you've been up to.
