Default Head Gasket Recommendations
408 iron block - s480 ect...
the heads Im running are TEA stage 3 blower heads that have been o-ringed for boost.
I was informed to not use an MLS gasket since they are o-ringed and would not seal properly.
I was suggested to use Fel-PRO PT9199 - but after doing some reading up on them Fel-Pro states to not use these in high boost applications.

So here I am asking for suggestions.

LS9 is an MLS gasket, was told I cannot use it.

i have not seen many composite gaskets for ls engines that were not just rebuilder cheap gaskets.

That's my problem in a nutshell. I don't want to cheap out on head gaskets and have to replace them down the road anytime soon.

I'd recommend some copper gaskets, call the guys at SCE. (661)728-9200

Why is that? I have put MLS gaskets on every LS motor I have ever worked on and never had an issue with them.

On my old nitrous motor I even sprayed the MLS gaskets with that copper spray and reused them.

O-ringed - they will not seal with an MLS is what I was told by people with way more knowledge then myself.
