Default H vs. X pipe w/ Forced Induction

In N/A applications, I know the difference is minimal between the two types of exhaust crossover pipes. But I've heard that in forced induction you want all the exhaust scavenging that you can get. Now I'm using chambered mufflers and would prefer an H-pipe for the sound, and also an H-pipe would be much easier to fit on my particular car. Are the differences in power between an X-pipe and an H-pipe going to be any different than in an N/A application?

I think the X pipes sound better.

All things being equal I only found articles and write-ups that said x's were better than h's... nothing supporting h's.

I had an H when I was n/a and it was drony.

Here is my x setup:

I would say it's 80% as loud as my car when I had the XR1's and the 422ci.

I was considering doing a setup like that, but I will potentially be driving my car everday on the street.....

I got the FLP LT's w/ORP's going through the dual dual for now.......I got a cutout..

I'm thinking about getting the FLP dual cutouts that go in place of the ORP's......that would make it basically like open headers......open those every now and then on the street

Mainly at the track though

We've tested "H" vs "X" on our engine dyno and the "X" made considerably more power........

How considerable? More than the 5-10hp difference normally associated with the N/A engines?

I asked Scott what the engines were that he tested it on and they were two 360 Chryslers *eek* , and a 454 Chevy.
Anyway, he said the 360's had a lot more mid range torque...about 30-40 lb-ft. He also commented that there are many variables that can come into play and it will be different for each specific application because of tube size, exhasut size, if the engine is efficient.... As far as the 454, I didn't get the results out of him for that...he's in the middle of dynoing an engine...if I can get more info I will...
