Default LS2 F1A new build. Let the fun begin.

Just about ready to put part A into part B. Should fire up within the next few weeks. This has been a long process getting parts lined up, scheduling work & the big hurdle ( paying for all of it). I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas morning !!!
The goal is for an over the top & fun to drive street car. This is NOT a max effort strip car. See below for the laundry list. I've included much of the details that I know I would look for when reviewing other builds.

Engine built by Mike @ Total Engine Concepts (Rivera Beach FL). I couldn't ask for a better experience or more qualified person for the job. Thanks Mike.

LS2
Procharger F1A
-pulley 7.65" crank ...... head unit TBD * (15 lbs)
Procharger Big Red BOV
Pro Charger Race FMIC
Intake: Fast 102 . & fuel rails
TB: NW 96
Injectors: 80 lb. injector dynamics
Fuel system: dual 255
- Alchy Control 50/50 meth/h2o
Heads: PRC 2.5 5.3
Pistons: JE .
- CR: 9.6:1
Rods: Diamond
Cam: custom grind
Crank: stock
ARP everything
Bearings: Clevite
Lifters: Morel tie bar

Kooks 1 7/8 headers, 3" true duals w/X pipe.
- swapped out kooks bullets for Billy Boats C7 bullets
Holly HP electronic control
- waiting for new version LCD touch screen / dash

Trans: T56 ( a grenade waiting to happen)
Mcleod RXT twin disc clutch
Moser 12 bolt
- gears: 4:10 ( I know ... Gotta go)

Mid West Chassis:
-drive shaft loop
-K member
Burkhart Bumper support
BMR:
Sub frame connectors
Lower control arms
Torque arm
Sam Strano:
Sway bars, front /rear
Springs
Shocks: Koni SA
Brakes:
- Brembo caliper
- big brake mod (drilled slotted rotors)

Part of my goal is to have streetable lowend torque. While this will be an overkill for my needs, it will certainly hit boost quickly and give me that half throttle in 2nd gear blast that I am looking for. I am toying with and leaning towards a wastegated system similar to the system in GM article below.

http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/eng...tegate-debate/

I'm not married to this concept just think it would be a fun experiment and certainly a little different. Before I get slammed, I know the controversy re: gated systems .... IATs & possible inefficiencies. Just keep in mind the my goals and lack of desire for peak numbers. I don't have a desire, nor is it an option to go the route of PD roots blower ( had a Maggie, want more). I am looking forward to the experiment and I hope that can be appreciated.

Motors in and everything else is in pieces. Hope to have it wired & buttoned up, filled with Joe Gibbs breakin oil and give it a preliminary tune in a few weeks. The most frustrating part of this will be driving it for 500 miles to break in the new clutch without the right foot getting too excited.
It's going to be interesting to breakin the motor as well. Any advice on this would be appreciated. I'll keep posting as we progress.

IMO , always stick with the original plan. Use your good fortune (sell the blower) as a tool to get there.

I'm curious about the muffler switch on the kooks true dual exhaust. Was that to quiet it down a little?

While the switch should quiet the system down by just a few DB's the real intension is to change the tone. The Kooks system is a work of art however, ( for me) it still has too much rumble & thump. I'm looking for more of a higher pitched howl. The xpipe helps with that but the B&B bullets should acentuate the tone that I'm looking for. In addition, They were designed to reduce drone. They have a series of mini j pipes which act as sound canceling devices. They remove the low freq rumble and you are left with a very free flowing straight pipe with sound canceling qualities.
Without cats I don't expect this system to ever be tame. At best I'm hoping for a Civilized Barbarian. !

Yeah, I'm not looking for it to be stealth quiet or sound like a Buick, but I'd like to be able to take an hour or two drive in it and not go deaf.

I think you're T56 will be okay, for a while at least. Nice build.

Thanks.
Yah. It should hold up for a good while. It won't see many hole shots as well.

Exhaust is in. Looks amazing. Tucks up nicely. I had to ditch the recommended BMR drive shaft loop. It sat far too low as it supports from below. I went with the MWC loop. It comes from above, so no clearance issues.

It should be a symphony. Between:
- cam lope
- F1A blowing off at idle
- 3" Kooks system
- a little whine from the Procharger
& and the beloved blow off between gears

LET THE MUSIC PLAY !!!!!!!

(Ill let you know what I think).

The Burkhart Bumper Support just arrived & we were able to get the
Procharger race FMIC installed.

Bumper support needed some modification to get the job done.
1, The support bars were blocking the inlet/outlet on the IC.
2, A portion of the mounting brackets also encroached into the IC
( as they both mount to the original stock bumper location).

Both pieces are quality items & I'm very satisfied with the result.

In a nutshell, in an effort to mount this IC with this bumper support:
The mount brackets on the BS had to be trimmed ( see pics). The brackets on the IC needed an additional fabricated sheet ( bracket extention) to extend the mount a little lower. Effectively lowering the IC about 3/4". The remaining BS mount holes needed to be drilled/relocated to accommodate the adjustment to allow the support bars to clear the inlet/outlet.

In addition, the lower 2 dowel like mounts on the BS are not needed and would never fit with this IC ... so they were removed as well.
I hope the pics show below.

Very excited to see how this turns out.
I have a similar build, similar compression, bigger displacement but smaller blower setup in the works.
Love it.
Shooting for any specific numbers?
