Here's the intercooler tabs, actually trimmed the grille and mounts quite a bit to get the intercooler as far foward as I could

Here's the intercooler and cold side piping wastegate is just setting there for mock up, but that will be it's new home. The intercooler is a 4" thick core, and the piping is 3"

This is going to be awesome when you finish up!!!!

Oh and those are some awesome fab skills to get the front suspension from a crown vic to mount up in that old Caddy. I'd never be able to get it in there right with the geometry correct and everything. I must say that you'll love that mod almost as much as the motor, it will make it drive/steer like a new, modern car.

Thanks! It's a peculiar engine bay to say the least, if I would remove the wheel wells......could probably fit two ls swaps in there lol!

I wish, and I totally agree, but I'll have a hard enough time try to make one turbo work, much less multiples lol!

Thanks for the complements, this is total learn as I go , and while it set me back in time quite a bit, I know the front end was smarter/safer decision. I really enjoyed coming up with a plan to make it work and can't wait to see how it performs. In the future I would like figure out how to control variable steering assist (like the Lincoln's ) with a dial in the car, but that will be a project after it runs/drives/does incredible burnouts.

I wonder if you could fit two 2JZ-GTE or two RB26DETT inline sixes in there with some crazy shared turbo piping and one intercooler. I'm sure its never been done in a car, but the tractor pull guys run multiple engines, monster supercharged big block v8's.

So this is today's progress, this is actually the second set of motor mounts since I started this project. The first ones were intended for the caddilac frame and would have worked perfectly, but then I switched to crown vic crossmember. So
I modified them to work, but decided they looked like poo, and I wanted different mounts. So I modified these and I think they'll work great! What's cool is, as you can see, it pretty much lines up with the pedistals that are already cast in the crown vic's crossmember!
This actually has the motor and trans nearly in the spot as the caddy 500 was(as measured from the bellhousing to the fire wall )

Are those solid mounts or is there a bushing in there?

One of my goals has been to put the turbo behind the motor, and run the crossover pipe behind it. Mission accomplished. Almost..... there will be more work to be done to the wheel well to get it where I want it, here is some mock up

Actually gonna end up more like this

Thanks, my goal has been to put it back there, will be short hot side pipes, and ease of down pipe routing I think it makes sense and is simple.
