Sooo.....I was prepared to swap cams and just let that gen3 eat!!
but since I've had to disassemble so much if the motor to deal with the cam bearing issues, I cant just slam this thing back together!!
So, I'm gonna do a forged rod,/piston combo. The bores are great, just gonna give a hone, but I will step up to some flat tops to have essentially a lq9. This is spiraling out of control! Too much oCd!!

Well, figured I'd update.... this is dragging out.....so I've tried keep this "reasonable" and it's a fight at every turn, and is turning into a full engine rebuild, like need a machine shop.
what happened to my fast engine swap!?

LOL-every time I get a junkyard engine, it seems to end up at the machine shop.
Its those dam cam bearings, lol. Gonna invest in a cam tool.

I wouldn't mind camming my 183k LS6, but I'm pretty certain if I pulled the cam the bearings would be toast and I'd be in for a lot more than I bargained for.

So this fn' block is toast also!!
cam bearing really are up the bore.
would use on another project and roll dice, but just can't do it with all I have going intoit now. Best deal I can find is a new ly6 block (pn12609999) that will have it's own obsticals to deal with.....

well here it goes.....
.
Two tacos!!

So everyone gather round' for a tale whoa($hit!)..............
So the night started out like any other sat night, just wanted to ride the f' out. Cruised all down town, went to some place that had valet parkig that mysteriously was full when I pulled up.........so went across to our local Ritz carlton who had me leave by the front doors!! Those guys were cool! Anyways left there to head home.
Now keep in mind I had been driving white all night, not like I do when in mexico...... and I was like "I haven't even spun a tire tonight"......well this just has to be made right!
Soooo......almost to the house, not another soul on this closed race course I was on, and the light turned green, I may have used "excessive throttle" second gear shift was violent, and came exactly the same time I was steering around a median on said closed race course, (spool still in the rear)........backend kicked out, now pointed at median which has now doubled as a ramp and caddy is now airborn(bout 3ft)......... and when touch down happened, we were still rolling so i hammered it again ,and wasted no time getting back to the house.......
Man you have a good sense of humor lol.
