i have no factory cluster, and i would say it doesnt work at all with the canbus that is on the ms3

i think it would be pretty hard to integrate with the stock BCM and all the functions.

if its a 06 and you want everything to work you are much better off having someone just tune the stock ecu

Sorry, just re-watch ed and it's a damn shadow. Yeah I have been working on the tune for a bit and motor is coming out in a couple weeks for some TLC. Love the truck man, keep the builds coming.

I bet if you put up a GoFundMe page to raise money for better lighting for your videos you would get enough money to light up a football field. I would contribute.

its really awesome for a street car so far, it fry's tire before i can make it to boost right now

i can get to 3k and 30% throttle and then any more pedal and it spins the tires.

that is 86kpa though so pretty close.

i cant wait to get i to the track and race it

Matt, would you mind shooting a little video going over how the MS2 trans controller works and what you like and dislike about it as an option? I think that would be cool.

Apologies in advance if you have already done something like that and I missed it.

i have not done it yet, but its the micro squirt v3 sealed case as a trans controller.

so far its excellent just as many features as the aftermarket controllers i have used and drives just as good as anything out there.

i might have to make a video showing configuration and setup since more people are likely to use it now that it has my stamp of approval.

and i can also provide base tunes for such lol

That is fantastic! James has really done some amazing work with the code, so I really hope your endorsement will help more people to give it a try. The microsquirt option is really nice and simple. The Colorado appears on your videos to be a real pleasure to drive.

I used a PCS controller with the Dodge 41TE trans, and did my best to provide James good info for the attributes of that trans that needed to be written into the code. The PCS wasn't bad, but it wasn't nearly as nice as what I see James has setup in Tunerstudio for the control of the 41TE.

Unfortunately the 41TE functions very differently from most of the "normal" transmissions, and it was a total PITA. I'm hoping to put an 80e, or maybe even a 60e in something one of these days and run it with my GPIO board or an MS2. Or maybe even a turbo'd 1UZ FE in front of that Toyota a340 trans... So many options so little time since I'm about one tenth of one percent as efficient as you are at getting my projects completed. Lol

Should be able to build some good boost at 3k if you jerk the timing out of it. Nice.

On the Colorado, will abs function at all without the pcm? Were you trying to get the undriven wheel speed from the sensor or from an abs module after the sensor?

Thanks Ross

I hear u guys talking about antilag all the time. Is this something built into the microsquirt? Or something u tricking the ecm with? My setup is basicly the same as this one. Spins tires over 3k and barely makes any boost if at all. This would probably help me. Im hptuners tho

drastically dropping the timing to allow the combustion to enter the exhaust, enhancing spool.

Throw a 2-step on it. Mine won't build much more than a pound without my 2-step engaged. On the 2-step at 3400 I build right around 7 lbs.

Denmah, I was so close to buying the MS3 and mircosqurit for trans control on Monday but couldn't bring myself to spend that money when the car has been working so well on the stock PCM. Also, needed to alocate that money towards a cage install. I do plan on switching to the MS3 at some point a write-up on using the mirco for trans control would be awesome.

Anxious to see how you get the traction control to work as well. That is one major thing I wanted with making the switch.

Question..... If you can't get traction at 3k rpm what benefit would (more)boost provide?

Maybe for trips to the track?
