Hey, i know it isn't sloppy to buy new engine parts (besides a cam and springs, lol) but, have you ever considered buying the forged drop-in pistons and forged stock length rods and just installed em sloppy style w/o balancing? Think it would vibrate itself to death? In theory, it should.....

Any concerns about having a heavier bolt on one side of the converter while it is spinning at 6500 rpm?

Could give the trans pump bushings a hard time.

we have had cars before where the bolts didnt line up that great and we put a smaller bolt on one side and larger bolts on the otherside and didnt have any trouble lol

How do u know what to set the pinion angle at when u swap the 8.8 in. Do u measure what the old axle was and put the 8.8 at that or do u have another method for this

yeah roughly chose a flat spot on the stock diff, measured perch's and then tried to duplicate that with the 8.8 and weld them in, the rest you can fix with shims

You change pistons faster than most people change spark plugs. I love it.

Did you end up drilling and tapping the converter for the single bolt or all three? I feel like I know the answer already lol

You are teaching us some stuff about cars, but how about the really tough stuff, like how you are keeping your new wife at bay while you work on your truck through the Christmas holidays. lol

I have a stock f-body bulkhead with twin walbro 255 pumps and it made 862 on Matt's dyno a month ago. Fuel pressure stayed pretty good at high 50s, low 60s at the rail, which isn't bad considering it's a stock in tank regulator and stock lines.

Right on, I made 754 on my stock bulkhead as well and I had twin AEM 320 (E85 capable) pumps. However, I think I was running the pumps at too high of pressures for those pumps. Base pressure at 58, and it was referenced 1:1. So at 13psi, you can see why I had to stop. This was on E70 by the way. I was just curious if maybe I had over looked something. I switched to twin 450's now, so I should be fine on the corn.

You made great power on the stock fuel system pretty much other than the injectors and pumps obviously.

Nothing wrong with 71psi of fuel pressure. Keep total fuel pressure under 100 and you’re fine…assuming you have enough pump to keep up. Alky guys run over 100 with mechanical pumps all the time.

I don't disagree one bit. Those AEM 320's fall on their faces at that pressure though, and I think the internal relief is 80psi. So needless to say, we weren't meant to be...lol
