That sucks. But you've been there before. For your sake, I'm really hoping you find a definitive cause for the boost spike. Unknown are the worst.

Did it feel like a rocket @30psi? I'm curious what power it makes at that PSI.

You're using a MAC valve for your boost control, correct? If so, could also be a faulty solenoid/valve.

Shouldn't the squirt be setup to save the engine in the event of overboost? With Holley it's quick to pull timing, keep A/F in check, and dump the gates if an event like that happened. And I've had it happen when a wastegate line called it quits and she saw 32psi. But I drove it home thanks to Holley, stock ECM would have blown up with a quickness!

MS3 Gold has protection for Boost, AFR, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, Low voltage....

He disabled the protection...

This is a good lesson for all of us...at the very top of my timing table I put 0* just in case things get away from me.

I lost a motor using MS3 one time because I didn't have my over-boost protections set aggressively enough. When it hit (because I melted a wastegate line), I thought it was something else, and I just kept getting on it again. Pretty soon the motor popped, because even though the overboost protection was shutting it down, boost is building when it gets shut down, and it spikes real hard.

What I learned was to make sure that overboost cut is set to force me to get completely out of the throttle and let the RPMs go down very low before it will reset and allow acceleration again. All of these parameters are adjustable in MegaSquirts that have overboost protection or AFR protection.

I found that when I was in a mood to make boost, I was too stupid to take my foot completely out of the gas unless the protection method simply shut me completely down. Learned my lesson the hard way. Lol...

correct its a KB style manifold, or trick performance style manifold, or any of the other 10 places that make em.

its a log that is fed from the other side
i have full pictures of the turbo kit posted somewhere deep in this thread
