Bummer to hear that...I lost a motor a few years ago due to a failed WG, that allowed 40psi in 1st gear just trying to roast the tires a little bit from a stop, and in that gear it all happens so fast I couldnt get my foot out of it quickly enough.
I was using Haltech PS1000 and hadnt finished setting up my failsafes (or actually just got lazy) and it bit me in the ***.

i have completely dusted motors without a drop on the ground so, thats not a good theory lol
correct its a KB style manifold, or trick performance style manifold, or any of the other 10 places that make em.
its a log that is fed from the other side
i have full pictures of the turbo kit posted somewhere deep in this thread
probably hard to find so here

So lets say your using a stock ecu and hp tuners, whats the best way to "failsafe" your tune for a stuck or seized wastegate? For instance i dont want to run north of 14lbs for right now, anything above 190 ish kpa should i just fuel the **** out of it and pull timing? or is there a smarter way to do it?

What do you run for fueling? A method that worked for me in the past and what I'm going to do on my current build (there's a thread about it that came up a month or two ago) was running meth/water as a failsafe. Tune your setup on pump gas at your average max boost level (say 14psi), and run meth/water to have that detonation preventative and octane boost in case things get crazy without your intention.

That sucks about your engine ,did that mac valve hang open and feeding the top of your wastegate ? I was hoping to see some awesome times. When the toys break unexpectedly, that's a big bummer. I sure enjoyed the burnout vids. Almost makes you want to put a stocker in it and just have fun till you gather parts for a better one, good luck

Jesus Christ that's fantastic....anything worth doing is worth doing right!!!
Hats off to your unwavering persistence. I'll be back when it's ripping single digit passes then stopping to get groceries and lumber in a couple weeks...
