Default whats involved in switching over to e85

thinking of making the jump to corn, I currently am running twin 340 racetronix pumps. -8 and -6 lines. fic 1600cc injectors. looking to be around 1200 wheel. do I need to change anything out? will I have enough pumps for the extra fuel and roughly how much more would I consume over gas?

Usually bigger, E85 compatible injectors, fuel lines and filter bc e85 can be corrosive

Your braided lines will work just fine. Although if you're going for 1200whp you may need -10 feed -8 return

I've been running standard braided hose with e85 for a while now and haven't had any issues with it.

A buddy of mine has been on E85 for a little over a year. Daily driven 5.3/S475 combo with standard braided fuel lines from the tank to the rails. He had a -6an micron filter which just got a little clogged after roughly a year of driving; said when he opened it he did see a little bit of black specs, possible debris from the tank, and/or rubber from the fuel lines. In any event, with the filter repalced he's still boosting. I also have a boosted S10 on "E" with standard lines, been about 4 months, no issue yet. Installed a new inline filter. Using stock lines then braided to the regulator and to the rail. That said I'm no expert, just sharing my experience. A local shop that builds race cars told me to run PTFE. My next build is underway and I am using PTFE for added insurance!

As for those 1600cc injectors, according to this fuel injector calculator you should be good to around 1600hp at the crank on E85 with 85% duty cycle. That's relatively 1360whp if you had like a 15% loss through the drivetrain, or 1280whp if you had a 20% loss. Hope this helps..

Lol at one year and China rubber lines. We'll see what happens after another year. OP do yourself a HUGE favor and don't listen to people that have half assed their setups. Just because **** works "now" doesn't mean it will tomorrow. I've wasted SO much time and money on BS like China rubber lines and pumps that where not rated for E85. Clogged filters/failed pumps etc. it's been a complete nightmare. Do yourself a favor and sell all that **** now and get top dollar for it. Buy the right stuff (PTFE hose/fittings and proper pumps) Now and be done. I promise you won't regret it later.

First ran E85 in 2008, used earls prolite hose....hose in 2015 looks as it did when first installed

Make sure you read and says E85 compatible

Also never had that smell and my truck is parked in garage which shares a wall with kitchen

And my latest project ive used all summit and no leaks or smell or break down

-8/-8 is solid for 1000rwhp
-10/8 is solid for 1200rwhp

I went -12/10 for 1500rwhp

If my rails are -8 and the sending unit is -6 or -8 how does it help to have a line -10 or -12?

You feed both rails. I run a sumped tank but for comparison I run a -10 up toward the firewall to a magnafuel Y -10 to -8. -8 into the rear of each rail.

Can I pull it off on pump gas? Maybe I'm jumping the gun wanting to switch over?
