Default turbo/blower cam

looking at buying a 5.3 built with a turbo cam. will this cam work with a p1sc procharger

It will absolutely work.

Now, is there a better cam, I guess so, you will get many people who will respond with their cam of choice, or tell you to talk to their 'cam guru'.

But honestly, with a blower, cam selection is far less critical than a turbo. Sure a cam swap might make a decent amount of difference on the dyno or at the track, but it all depends on what your plans are with your car.

Since you have a P1SC, I'm assuming it's just a fun street car, so that cam will be fine.

thanks for the reply Alchemist. the car will be street/strip it is currently being built with a gen1 small block the ls will go in later when I have got all the parts together

Hope so Steve do not want to change it if I don,t have to. Not seen the granny over here in awhile do you still drag race it

Mostly just been at Elvington or local airfields, and been doing a few hillclimbs over the past few years.

Although as long as new clutch arrives today and it works as expected, the VW aircooled guys have invited us over to Santa Pod first weekend of September. So looking forward to that, hopefully weather is good ! It will be first time back there in over 8 years.
