Default Truck intake bolt head diameter?

Picked up these "truck" intake bolts from Billit ICT. The heads looked way too small diameter wise for the truck intake. Anyone use these? Any issues?

I had some spare intake washers from an LS1 intake manifold so I used them, but they still don't look right. I'm afraid to torque this thing down like this?

The truck intakes are 8mm but they have a sleeve in them. Can't tell from the pics if you have them on or not.

I'm just talking about the diameter of the head over the hole on the intake. The bolt head is barely larger than the hole. A washer the diameter of the OEM bolt rubber portion is what I'd think would be necessary. I started to torque them down and I swear I could see the plastic area start to cave in around 70 inch lbs so I stopped. I'll grab some washers. Odd ICT billet sells these without the washers though. Figure if I'm paying $17 for a few bolts they would at least come with washers...

Sure they all just use M6 bolts...the flanged head on that would be same diameter of a normal M6 washer anyway.

And on any intakes I've used, even that seems smaller than you'd like. It ain't going anywhere though

This pic shows what I’m talking about a little better.

The LS1 manifolds had small holes/perches for the bolts. The TBSS has ¼” “ish” holes on 1” perches. So the tiny head diameter is barely larger than the ¼” hole. Had me nervous is all. I contacted ICT billet and they said they would send me some ¾” washers if I wanted. Think I’ll head down to the hardware store and get some 1” washers instead.

Based on 2007 SS TB 6.0, the intake pn is 12580420 and corresponding bolts 12575384 (~$3 each) as shown in post #5

Side note - GM manifold 12580420 at Rock $135

Any time I do a project where the heads come off, I always drill and tap the intake bolts to accept a 5/16 bolt. Also drill the intake bolt holes out accordingly.

There is just something about those little chicken **** metric bolts I don't like.

They look small...but who's blew an intake off because the bolts weren't up to the job ?

Here a better shot, the head of the bolt actually fits through the hole. 1/16th on an inch maybe contacting the pedestal the bolt head sits on.
