Default Tune Feedback 4.8 S475

My AFR used to be a steady 11.2-11.4, and now in the upper RPM ranges, it goes way fat. I've got a 1:1 regulator, so I thought I should gradually add fuel the higher the kpa, and the higher the rpm. Apparently, I went wrong somewhere. I'd love to hear some feedback, as well as logging information. I cannot seem to log airmass g/s correctly.

91 octane, no methanol. Trying to drop the boost down to ~15psi and running 14º now.

I'd appreciate your advice guys!!!

Pretty sure it’s in the tune?

What RPM does it start getting rich? Red line? What valve springs?

Looks like it starts dumping fuel above 6400, to the point it's in the 10.6-10.8 range at 7000 rpm. I've got comp 918 springs in it. Still feels like it's pulling hard up top, but going pig rich in the process.

I’m not very familiar with HP tuners. But if you command the fuel lower and the engine doesn’t respond I’d look at the valve train.

Those are a pretty weak spring to be turning to 7k IMO, especially if they aren’t shimmed. I get the cam is mild, but it’s also not designed to work well past 6500 or so. Might try shimming those springs up.

With the .525 lift on an LS6 cam you aren’t close to the .625 max lift open pressure rating on those springs. So instead of the rated open pressures of 367lbs you’ll be at much less with .525 lift. Might be something to look into anyway. Being .10 under the rated lift of a spring is a ton.

Good luck!

Did you just add the methanol? Could be going rich as it gets kicked on. I would atleast swap to PAC single springs since comp 918's are known to fail. I would try pulling 2-3% out of the VE table in that area see what if it will lean out.

Man. I didn't even think of that to be completely honest with you. Might be riding a fine line here, I bet that open pressure is in the mid to upper 200lb range at .525 lol.

I'm not sure why my commanded AFR is diving into the 10s is what's strange. I'm still 'new' to tuning, and hoped someone would look at the hpt file and log and say WTF are you doing this for? LOL

I haven't added it yet. I have my EQ step up .01 at a time, but what's strange is the dive to a rich commanded since I'm not dumping a ton of fuel (just stepping up fuel in the VE table) that would be THAT significant. Should I pull that out of the VE table or prevent the EQ ratio from enrichening too far? I was trying to keep the VE table linear and then use EQ to pull the fuel out when I add methanol. I could absolutely be going about this all wrong.

I appreciate everyone's help so far. I really do.

I don't get on here much at home and I don't have HPT on my work Pc. If I remember I will look at it tomorrow.
