High compression 408 6spd t56 with t6 hotside what turbo to run?
I'm making the swap from nitrous to turbo and my motor is currently a high compression (11.5cr) 408 Stroker LS3 top end T56 transmission mainly at street car so I'm going to need something that will spool fast in a t6 frame and it doesn't help that I don't know much about turbos

Clearly....
Why would you want a T6 unit in the first place ?
And that CR is going to require some **** hot fuel unless you're barely running any boost at all.

Too funny.
Why don't you call Jose at Forced Inductions and have him spec out and sell you a turbo. Just tell him your combo, and what you are looking for and he will hook you up.
I've heard a lot of people pooh pooh a high compression turbo build. From personal experience, I'm at 11.4 CR and it works pretty well IMO. I've never even tried to start it on pump gas though. I've been able to get as much at 19 degrees of timing in it on E85, at 15 psi. I've seen even higher compression ratios in really high end turbo builds, but they are running the really expensive race fuels. These cars never see street use though.

Mainly because I got a Huron t6 hotside for a steal that's why.
It will be on e85 I don't know how much boost it will be on whatever it takes to make at least 800whp if everything looks good we'll keep going but 800 is my goal. Might be on 10# maybe 20 idk

Anything T6 will be hellish big for only 800hp. You would be best speaking to some of the turbo builders to see if they can put something together that wont have huge lag

Nothing wrong with a T6 for that, just run something like a S475 with 83mm turbine and 1.10 a/r housing and it will do everything you want to do, still spool pretty well and is a pretty cheap turbo. My truck has 10.25 comp and works well with boost. 800ish hp at 16lbs.

Not sure why some of you thought T6 was a crazy idea or something... No chance I'd put a single T4 on a motor like that. That said, Johns suggestion sounds epic. If my 9:1 compression 5.3 is fun on the street with a T6 484 96/1.10, that high compression 408 is gonna be awesome.

The reason I was wanting to go to a T4 hotside is because it's about $1,000 cheaper in the end I don't have to cut up my core support I can use a stock radiator and only have to buy one wastegate instead of two. But the T6 hot side I bought will be in today. FML

Run a S480 billet on a full size 96mm 1.32 A/R. This is the cheapest hotside combination and in my opinion will still spool reasonable on that big of an engine with that high of a compression. It will leave room to grow to 1000whp+ in the future as well, if and when you want it.

If you already have the pusher fans it will only cost you about $300 to do a stand up radiator. Or if you go with the cheaper griffin radiator closer to $200... Not sure if the way I did it will allow enough room for a t6 hotside with a bigger turbo.
My TC78 was almost touching my stock radiator then I went with the 7875 turbo with a lot bigger compressor housing and I still have a lot of room between the turbo and the radiator with it stood up...
Here is a write up on how I did the stand up radiator.
