Default FI YSI build on 5th Gen

The plan: Vortech YSI, cam, LT's, meth

V-7 YSI Billet Wheel 3.60 upper and 7.8 lower pulleys

Name: DSCN0913_zpsiotcn6ln.jpg
Views: 1688
Size: 129.4 KB

ID 1050x's
HP Tuners
JRE catch can and modified breather set up.
ZR1 3 bar MAP

Already have installed or waiting to go on:
PAT G cam on TSP endurance lobes .615/.615 224/240.
Monster twin disk clutch
LS7 Lifters and new baskets
LS9 Head gaskets
new BTR .660 platinum springs
Bo White ported TB
ZL1 Pump and FPCM and DSX Aux pump

I have hand ported stock LSA 863 heads - nothing fancy just so they flow at least as good as LS3 heads - New LS 3 hollow stem intake and Manley severe duty exh valves

The SS is already cammed (Vengeance racing stage II NA), LT, cat back car with all after market suspension and ZL1 front brake upgrade.

Reusing supporting mods:
Melling HV oil pump
LS2 timing damper
C5R timing chain
ARP head bolts and cam bolts
Hardened 7.4 comp pushrods - but will measure when assembling to be sure...trend pushrods if diff length be needed...

Just pulled the trigger on a meth kit from Rodney at Prometh:
Their Camaro stage II kit with stainless hard and soft lines, and progressive controller is on its way.

Can't wait...

We'll cut the meth in half - mix it water and maybe we'll keep the teeth....

Thanks,
Dan

Default Parts are in...

All YSi components have arrived....

RGS Motorsports in Wellingborough UK had a little get together of sorts on Sat. I wanted to put my Camaro up on the dyno before I start taking it apart to install the new cam and supercharger. It laid down 495rwhp at 6000rpms on a Dyno Dynamics dyno which I think is reading a bit high. More realistic is probably 475rwhp but that is just by comparing it to other Camaros on the site with similar mods....

I have a car event coming up on June 11 (American Speedfest) and I know if I start taking it apart I probably won't have everything and the tune worked out between now and then. So I will start on the mods after the 11th...

Gone this weekend to watch the F1 race in Barcelona - it should be a spectacle....

A bit over 600 to the wheel and the torque almost to the mid 500s. A 3.8 pulley would have put me closer to 700.

I am looking for 700-720rwhp on 12lbs and stock bottom end while I am in the UK. When I return to the US I will forge the engine and turn up the boost for 1/2 mile fun...

The Pro meth progressive twin nozzle system finally arrived after being in mail limbo between the USPS and UK Mail....

Very nicely put together....

I have a big show on 11 June and then the installation of it all will start.

Curios why you are running two units on your setup?
