Default 5.3 e85 eaton m122 12psi, custom intake on a budget

02 5.3, 2000 ls1 cam, dual valve springs, 80lb injectors, e85, custom sheet metal intake, intercooler, ford gt500 eating m122 supercharger, 102tb, a1000 pump, boost reference regulator. Made 12 psi on dyno, 375hp, blowing through the converter pretty bad. Hoping to get back to dyno in a week or so with different converter. All custom bracket, and mounts, added 2 more ribs to the stock ls1 balancer. 8 rib belt. Start of intake
Intake is all 1/4, with 9/16 thick plate on top. Plate ended up being 1/2 after i milled itwarping it..
Idler from scrap aluminum.
Before extra grooves
After a little lathe action..
Intercooler

Balanced pinned
Pinning tool I made
Custom Manual tensioner
Intercooler rad mount
Finished project

Cracking work! Is this using the GT500 intercooler brick? Got any more pics of the intake manifold taking shape?

I don't have anymore pics of intake coming together... The intercooler is from ebay. The core is 4.5x5.5x12. The water in and outlets are on the back of the intake. Had a lot more room in my sandrail then most cars. Thanks guys!

Was really hoping for 450-500 at the tires. Will see what a new converter does. Not sure how much hp I'm losing blowing through the converter. It only weighs about 2200lbs. Thanks for compliments! I like to fab and be different...

You could build the same thing using a Holley Hi-ram intake with a blank top.

The new Holley low-ram is a much better candidate for a blower manifold.

You're right, I originally put Holley intake then edited to Hi-ram forgot about the low ram. Even some of the dual quad intakes that are available can be made to work quite well. I still have BBC intake from the 60's that was converted for roots blower use.
