Turbo help
My set up right now is 5.3 SBE with a Huron V2 a/c kit. On3 tc78 turbo bov, waste gate. With a 4l60e and fti 3600 stall 3.23 gear. Cam is a 219/223 114+3. Car pulls good up to 6500 rpm running about 8-9 lbs of boost but is a turd from a dig. It won't even spin the tires through the rear brakes. Any suggestions?

Is this an EFI setup? 2 biggest factors I'd say are timing and AFRs. At WOT you don't need it any richer than about 13:1 until you get over a couple lbs of boost, then as the boost climbs you want it richer (around 11:1).
As for timing, if it's too low, it'll be sluggish until the boost comes in.

whoa 16* on pump? take some timing out. like A LOT unless your on corn or race gas.
then try having your PE command more fuel starting at like 50% throttle.
I set mine up like that after RonSSnova told me to, builds boost WAAAAY faster.

Is 16* bad at only 8-9 psi ? I have mine setup to make 13* at 12 psi ( Not an LS style EFI system ) . Mine is at about 17.5* at 9 psi. Am I way off ? Because of other situations , I havent made more than 6.7 psi. Have my other issues saved my SBE by not getting into higher boost ?

doh i missed where he said 8-9psi max.
hell i dunno really. I am super conservative now after hurting my motor.
new motor and tune I'm at 16* at 5psi (70/30 water meth starts at 5.5psi) and 13* by 9psi at like 10.8 on the gasoline afr scale.
when I turn it back up to 15+ psi i'll run about 10* and creep up on timing checking my plugs each increment
also we have 91 at the pump here, which varies wildly in quality.

get more details about your tune. there are some very talented dudes on here but you gotta give them lots of details or they won't even respond to your questions, they just assume their answer will be lost on you

Can you post a tune file? You need to log boost or at least have a friend watch and see what rpm it starts making decent boost. Below that rpm treat it like NA and lean it out and add timing and it'll wake the car up big time. The timing will make more of a difference than the AFR. When you're tuning on pump gas you always start fat with low timing like 10 degrees and then once you find your AFR then you start adding timing to it, but you still need a clue when it makes boost at all and when it makes full boost.
